Just wondering if these are subs? They seem young, and when I took the picture it appeared that the caps were a bit green/bluish around the edge. Any opinions are welcomed. And thanks for the ID earlier.

Just got back from another pick couldnt go yesterday spuing lots of subs just hanging in there, it was a very selective pick thousands left too drie too mouldy. Oh well ya cant win every day, any way a nice bag of 1.5 kilos could of had so much more but qaulity would have gone out the window. Also i keep meaning to take gloves but always forget ive had a constant buzz for the last week picking so many. Does any one know if u can be baddly effected by this, will it make me more immune from my hands absoarbing so much residue one hand is literelly black every time?

Well as usual I'm going outside my field of expertise, but I'd say unless you have some nasty cuts on your hands you're not absorbing anything. I wouldn't worry about it.
Plus, with the amount of mushrooms you have, you can afford to eat a few more to overcome any accumulated tolerance. Seriously dude I've seen your pics, you've found the motherlode!

What should I be looking for then? The 2nd and 3rd pic look pretty similar to subs to me. I'm hunting in wood chips, fallen leaves and mulch in the suburbs.
Not those.
These: http://www.shroomery.org/9578/Psilocybe-subaeruginosa
And you want more purple in your spore print than black.
You're looking in the right kind of habitat by the sounds, but they can surprise you sometimes where they pop up too.
Just keep hunting man, I know it can get frustrating but you will find, and it will be worth it!

Hey guys
First time picker, done a lot of research but naturally wanting to be careful. Found these in the northern suburbs, in some woodchips next to a small creek. Couple of hundred spread around the place.
My main concern is the lack of blue bruising. One of the smaller ones seems to be but the rest aren't. I'm taking spore prints but I thought I'd upload these photos and see if anyone can ID from this. Otherwise they have nice golden tops, white stems and they seem to be the right size and shape.

Cheers!

Coin is 20 cents. The stems were a lot whiter when fresh cut, but I was crushing them a bit to look for purple bruising. They also were all fairly short, most of the mushrooms looked pretty young. Gills were also a tad lighter than that, but not too much.

Awesome. 5 minutes of hunting on my first excursion and I find a few hundred 2 minutes away from my house. The shroom gods have smiled upon me this day.

You have a mix of species including some Cortinarius and Rhodocollybia butyracea. None of them are psychoactive and some are potentially toxic.

Jeez that is the motherload. And I thought I found heaps!
--------------------
Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening,
terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in
this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the
religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by
giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their
view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and
learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness;
chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself.
Think for yourself.
