Was that my yellow stuff? Any ideas on the tan ones growing in the mulch... There are thousands of them now.

Yes, the caps will turn a greenish color, but that's probably blue on top of a tan background.
I posted this before, but ... This is blue!

lol your funny
yeah well they grow in mulch and the mulch is a way better score then river ones, tho im curious to know the differences in how they feel on that different subsstare i have noticed its interesting to see how differently things feel season from season too
the most consistence feeling thing i have had wild was gyms tbey always feel exactly the same other things feel different but not in a bad way
on another note would you guys say that they lost about half their strenght when dried
while fresh is low doses are more body larder more visual and mind
while dry lower doses are more visual and mind and higher doses are body?
for some reason

Do they grow in mulch beds on the east coast? Or is that only on the west without help? I made a mushroom smoothie with a bunch of older ones yesterday and poured the left overs in 2 mulch beds near home (crossing fingers for years to come).
Question: How long does a smoothie stay viable? Anyone know?
As far as dry vs. wet.....I can't tell you as I've only experienced 2g dry so far but it was the equivalent to at least 6g dry cubes (B+) or more. Also, the "river monsters" were dried in a dehumidifier that gets up to 130 F.

That's funny. One of the biggest patches I've found so far was directly on top and near a fox's den. Luckily I don't think she was home or nursing young at the time I was hunting. Unless they are that scared of us that they didn't make a sound.

Yeah seriously, I was just thinking the same thing. Is there any way to clean your pants and shoes afterwards to avoid getting a rash? I just bought new leather waterproof breathable hiking shoes, with awesome grippy soles, which I'll only use for walking in the woods, exploring streams, etc. I'm guessing that the poison ivy would affect both the absorbent laces and the leather surface. What can be done about this after the fact, other than going to buy a new pair after each hunt?

Are foxes dangerous? What should you do if you encounter one? I saw one about 25 feet away near work, and I promptly turned around and left because I didn't know what to expect.

Only the sick, rabid, or nursing ones. Usually they are scared of us.

Probably the best form of action.
I once met a fox face to face on a path in the woods before. We both froze, looked at each other and must have decided neither was a threat to the other cause we just went on our merry way.
Spooked me though. Almost had to change pants after.....almost.

Cool. I want to find a mulch bed.....I'm at least attempting to spread some love in some. Are they usually made by someone or natural?

If they are half strong from drying......wow, what are fresh ones like?

Washing with soapy water will remove the oil. I always wear sweat pants that cover the tops of my shoes and wash them when I get home.

Yeah koods, the yellow one looks like fuligo spetica (aka dog vomit) slime mold, and it turns brown as it ages. Slime molds can design transport networks as well as humans or better.
For poison ivy I use Tecnu Extreme, it's a mild soap with lots of abrasive material mixed in to strip the oils off the skin. I've never gotten poison ivy after using it.

Found a few more today, although they weren't as large or as prevalent as yesterday. I found a good many dried up pins, we need some rain. These are all collected from wood mulch, the area has 4 or 5 chipped beds, all of them are inoculated I would like to find a second spot to look though. Does anyone else find a good many that are real tiny? They have about an inch to inch and a half long stem and the cap is the size of my pinkie nail. I found a large number of these type today. I have never ate them wet, although dry they are quite good!

A mulch bed in my case was man made and only exists in it , and in some shrubs near it, im assuming they were brought by the mulch cause position isnt really good for them to exist in naturally
yeah with honey they were as good as fesh oh my i dont know the correct ratio of honey to mushroom or how long they have to soak i let that stuff sit for a year tho. then ate it with the mushrooms in it , till way later when i just pressed the mushrooms out and then had really good honey. i recomend if your going to have it for storage get the mushrooms out since they are fresh water containing mushrooms and not dried ones. the water will combined with the honey so i suggest using thicker honey the raw stuff. tho i used just higher quality not store bought.
you can also take the honey then combine raw cocoa to make chocolate out of them no heat required
