 weird bluegreen alien pins

Can anyone help me figure out why these guys are so blue? I already picked a batch of nice ones but after those were done pooping out spores, the new pins turned blue. Here's a pic! Help a brotha out

Most likely your cake is drying out. You haven't dunked them since that first bunch you picked of them right?

Yea they look to be aborted pins did you dunk the cake for 18-24 hours after you first harvest? you need to rehydrate the cake and then put it back in your fruiting chamber, fanning 4-6 times a day and indirect misting to help with humidity.

those guys I would trim off though before dunking to make tea with or to save to combine with your second harvest.

You could place them in a saucer of water for several hours. Something with maybe an inch of water so most of the pins aren't submerged. When you get a lot of growth at once like that the water in the cake gets used up faster than normal.

should I just fill some tupperware with a bit of water and leave them there for a while? and should i get rid of the blue pins?

That should work. Most of those aren't aborts, only the ones with the dark black caps.
