you get 25,000 a year for unemployment? How come most people only get $900 a month?
if i didn't have 2 kids i would only get about 1,100 a month....13,000 a year.....

Okay, maybe there is some fraud, I don't know, at the very least they're extremely misleading. It's amazing that there are so many people stupid enough to support Obama after all these years.
Funny I thought I was the only Zerohedge reader on here.

The official ones most certainly are. They can have a certain comparative utility when there is a generally normal employment situation but when there are massive job losses and they no longer count people who have given up as being in the work force it queers that utility.Quote:
The "official" unemployment number of 8.3% is for certain powers to keep the issue under control. The government has U6 unemployment which is currently around 16%, which is a little more realistic.
In reality, the true unemployment rate is around 22-23%, this includes people that have given up looking for work.
That seems a bit high but I agree it is much higher than the official number.Quote:
A simple statistic for measuring employment progress is the payroll tax numbers, but the financial media or political powers will never talk about this number, because it reflects the truth of the issue, there is no employment growth.
Sometimes they do. I would direct you to the Wall Street Journal and National Review.Quote:

It doesn't much matter what you tell an idiot. He will still be an idiot.
The bottom line is that there must be an increase in jobs every year to accommodate the population increase. I believe Obama will be the first President in history to preside over an economy that lost jobs over his term. It didn't just not keep up with population growth, it lost.
so I have a question for you. I mean it in a completely non sarcastic way, you seem to have all the solutions, or at least think you do. If you could restructure the government entirely from the bottom up to the top, and all the way back from the top to the bottom, without changing the constitution, and not by selecting person a) b) c)
let's put it this way. If you could CREATE robots that would run congress, the senate, create a perfect democratic republic, and structure taxes etc. etc. create jobs I know you believe in removing the minimum wage whatever because apparently you believe employers compete for employees jobs(corporations always do, even for the janitors )
how would you structure things? If you were president tomorrow, what would you do? What things would go in effect? I know you'd change the mortgage loan policies, but I'm very curious to know what you would do. Please help us all understand. It can't possibly be a sarcastic question, because I'm assuming as opinionated as you are, that you have an answer

Nope, definitely no recovery here.
Nice links, yes there is no recovery, in fact we are starting to head lower once again in many areas.
The Fed just hinted today that another round of QE (money printing) will be needed to "help" the economy.
The economic lie continues, there is no job growth, there is no economic growth, there is no tax revenue growth (actually moving lower), and the debt continues to grow higher and higher.
When you think about it, no one in their right mind would want to win a political election.

First off, Zerohedge is a fringe site but they're usually fairly accurate. They're betting on the destruction of the us dollar.
The unemployment numbers that are 'official' aren't accurate. It's not fraud because they still give data that is real; they're just not adding everything in there to give us the final number.
Think of it like this: They're not finishing the entire equation, only going 7/10ths of the way through the equation giving us their version of unemployment.
