I recommend doing G2G transfers without a spoon - just pouring from a donor jar to receiver jars. You can't be sure if the spoon is clean without flaming it. Flaming a spoon would be a mess.
Spooning also takes more time = more time for contaminants to fly into a jar.
I recommend placing a lid of a donor jar on whatever you like, but do not rest the lid of a receiver jar on anything. Just hold it with your left hand (if you're pouring with your right hand) and place it back on as soon as you've finished pouring (which should only take few seconds).
I hope that helps. It is a good advice, if that's yet not how you're doing it.

damn...I need to make a video of doing a G2G in a SAB.
But if you plan using all the spawn in donor jar, then there's no point holding donors lid in hand. I'm planning to make a video myself too in few days.

ok so the first tub i only got a little over 2oz dry which is less then five so that equals fail.... just steamed cleaned the new fruiting room,first spraying the carpet with mildew and mold cleaner with bleach then steam cleaned it . I have pics of the other tub with its first flush coming in .... the third is colonizing still we are day five it is looking really good , making tubs 4 AND 5 tonight as well as doing another 43 jar G2G transfer .

I don't think the problem is how clean ur room is. I use a closet that has never been mold/steam cleaned or bleached only cleaned and used lysol i do everything open air and have very low contam rates have maybe had 3-5 tubs contam tops and was 1 was my first grow and 1 was due to syringes being ruined when my fridge went out and tried them anyway. I do run a hepa filter in my room at all times and turn it off before I inoculate or mix spawn into tubs. I just pulled a little over 6 zips dry off the first flush of golden teachers with this method. I used 5 qts spawn to damions coir method. Good luck in the future I hope you can improve your yields and weighing wet is def not a bad idea I do it and whatever I get I just assume im going to get about 10% of that so 280wet is about a zip dry

Skuzz. Don't go crazy cleaning your rooms. I mean.. clean carpet and all that is nice, but you will most probably need to look up your grain prep and the way you inoculate the jars.
IF you think you you have trouble with mold, then let me ask you this - You inoculated with a LC and then continued by G2G, right? How was your LC started in the first place? If it was from spore to LC, then probably there's your problem.
There's an easy way to isolate mold from your inoculant by agar works. Agar > Grain is the way, as I do in my video:
But if you think you have trouble with bacteria, then hear this - Many endospore producing bacteria will begin producing new endospores within a hour or two of germination, even when soaking in water, which means - Don't soak over 12-16 hours. The point is to not let bacteria form in the first place, because as soon as fermentation starts there will be bacteria which will be producing endospores. Endospores are the real enemy, not bacteria, because endospores can survive much higher temperatures, and later on when you've PC'ed your grain and all, endospores will start producing bacteria in your spawn or substrate media. You will need to PC for 18 hours at 15psi (if I remember right) to completely sterilize your grains, so think about it.

As I said, if you let the grains ferment, there will be endospores produced EVEN IN SOAKING WATER, but ------------ the real massive amount of endospores will be produced when the grains are dry. So the key is to start PC'ing your grains immediately after their moisture content is right (not to let them sit dry), and cut the soaking time.

At first the whole tub got nicely colonized with not more than 6 days, I let it consolidate for another 2 days and switched to fruiting. I waited for the fruits for few weeks and nothing happened, besides the fact that mycelium started getting weaker and weaker WHEN LOOKING FROM OUTSIDE THE TUB. If looked from up, the surface was nicely colonized by mycelium, but that was, because I had placed a covering layer of coir on top. It got nicely colonized and stayed that way, but everything close to grains died, because the grains were full of endospores. Endospores started producing bacteria which literally killed mycelium all around it, nevertheless the substrate was firstly colonized by mycelium.
I PC'ed the grain for 90 minutes @ 15psi, but before I got to PC'ing I soaked for 24-36h and let the grains sit for days in dry - totally bad idea.
Btw, my spawn looked absolutely normal and white.
