Only problem is actually getting to the lecture to record it.  For me at least, my problem with D2 wasn't "Oh shit I lost track of time, I should have been in bed an hour ago" but more along the lines of "Why is the sun coming up?"

Think there's a problem with step 4 there. Thought blizzard stated no cash out of game. meaning you cant cash out from game to your bank. just excess cash can go to pay for monthly subscription. Did that change since a month or 2 ago?

Yes there are subs for warcraft and other games. From what blizz has said last I heard was you can not take cash out of the game. The cash that goes in for the cash auction house gets turned into game gold and stays that way. you wont be able to convert it back from game gold to cash and put it into your bank or wallet. But they will allow you to pay for monthly subscriptions for the likes of warcraft etc.... with the gold made off the auctionhouse.

Oh from my understanding the new diablo will take a subscription because it will be an online game with an online auction house unlike the earlier versions.
But it seems they did change there position from what i see on there web site.
"Use the Real Money Auction House to buy and sell items for real world currency. Then draw on your earnings to buy ever more powerful items or cash out your trades, take the money, and run. The choice is yours."

Well, the old Diablo games were online too. I hadn't heard of this new trade system though.

Yep, the Diablo auction house is going to be online same similar to Wow's auction house. You can put stuff up and other players can buy your stuff that you pick-up in game. armor, weapons, etc... Difference is that it will be a cash or gold shop. Personally I don't like that. It seems too close to Pay 2 Win format to me. So everyone sporting mommy's credit card will be geared to the teeth while other people that have to play to get there gold will have to go without. Which usually discourages players and they leave the game. I kinda forecast it hurting blizzard as it has most other company's that adapted a similar cash shop/AH type of thing.

from what i've heard you can earn real money in diablo. apparently it may be possible to earn min wage playing diablo. i doubt people will earn that much money from farming but it will be pretty cool if you find a wicked item and sell it for thirty bucks and buy yourself a bottle of rum. that will probably not happen very often though.
