IMO there's still a good one here and there, sorta like the Simpsons. It's not all terrible. Some of it is actually still good. But on the whole, it definitely didn't used to be this terrible.

oh shit, I watched it once and will not watch it again.
I actually watched the human centipede about a month earlier. very disturbing.
Only part that I found amusing was the end of the episode, where cartman gets nailed by lightning.

The first few episodes in their season always suck, as do the last few. Watching a season of southpark is like eating a comedy oreo.

Reverse Cowgirl just didn't make me laugh. Something about was just.. off.
I love every up to Season 15. 15 was alright, it had some great moments. Hopefully the premier for 16 isn't a glimpse of what's to come, because I haven't seen an episode that bad since Dead Celebrities.

watching southpark used to be more about how all the people are trash and to this day they kinda bring out the qualities in people that make them eccentric and put them in odd situations but now more then ever it seems more about satire rather then an hour long episode of saddam beggin satan to fuck him in the ass.

I'm watching through Season 2 at this very moment and none of this shit is any funnier than "Fishsticks" or some of these other really topical episodes in the later seasons

South park has always been a hit or miss for me. I like to wait until the half seasons are over and then I watch through all of them in one sitting.

Honestly, my thinking the show isn't as good anymore could have a lot to do with the fact that it came out when I was still young enough to get a huge kick out of its brand of irreverence.
I like the satire sometimes but it does fall short others. The constraints of the show really strain the premises sometimes.

They are working on a southpark game for next generation consoles that will be in that paper cut out style like the show but it will continue the backdoor sluts 9 into a epic game about gingers trying to take over, so its essentially the main characters in a LotR style rock paper scissors games with upgradable armor, techniques etc.
