Dubstep sounds like a broken frosty machine.

Edit: It was taken from their facebook page if anyone cares. Link won't work for some stupid reason.

Dude, thats awesome!
I love that picture they made. Skrillex is now officially a girl.
Thats weird that Wendy's would make such a thing. Why talk about Dubstep so explicitly. So weird.
Nice find man!
I still bang out to Skrill. And Bare Noize is crankin out some even nastier beats.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty strange as well that they would post about that on FB. Never realized it was so popular now either.
I liked the play on Skrillex too, but I can't say I dig much of his music. Maybe like 5 songs.

I know, really strange.
I don't like all of Skrillex's music too. And I like about 5 songs too! I like his remixes a lot, his originals are Ok. But I really enjoy the format of his songs, from gentle melodies to crazy hardcore craziness then back to gentle melodies.
This guy Bare Noize followed the same pattern with this strange but amazing song.
I think I know why they made that photo now....I clicked on the Dubstep photo on their page, it takes you to a T-Shirt photo page. They made a T-Shirt out of it.
I would buy it, would you?

I would consider dubstep to be mainstream now, and has been the past couple years. It is in a lot of commercials as the background music, and it's on the radio & thangs ....

This is from a document included in the album's digital cover:
"Dreaming Of A Bigger Life Produced, Mixed & Mastered by Michal Menert Cover Art & Design by Michal Menert
This album reflects the hope which one has during the darkest hours of life... Leading up to creating this album, my life had fallen to pieces. It was a time of loss, humility, heartache, and instability. I needed to retreat and regroup. I yearned to find home, and as fate would have it, my parents needed me there to help care for my father, who had been battling cancer since 2002. As this album progressed, so did my father's cancer...So much of the music here represents the nearing of death, the anticipation of an inevitable yet devastating end.
The vocal samples touch on the emotions and thoughts I was dealing with as well as what I imagined my father was feeling. Two weeks before this album's release, my father passed away. The title of this album symbolizes the sentiments we were feeling during the last years. We dreamt of a life where illness was not at the forefront of our thoughts. A life where those who give so much of themselves are not forced to suffer.
A life where we are given the moments we need to collect ourselves and enjoy the world around us. A life where the future holds promise. We were dreaming of a bigger life... This album is dedicated to the memory of my father, Tadeusz Adam Menert (Dec. 1, 1958-May 26, 2010).
My friends and family had a huge part in making this album possible. Thank you to my mother, Jolanta, for showing me what strength and courage is, and for keeping the family together when everything was falling apart. Thank you to my father, Tadeusz, for teaching me about life, exposing me to music, and proving until the end that you cannot let life get you down.
Thank you aunt Barbara and uncle Tom, for always being there and helping out. Thank you Natalia and Pamela, my cousins, for being the closest thing I have to siblings and for always believing in me. Thank you to all my family back in Poland, for keeping me connected with my culture and always providing warm meals, a warm bed, and warm hearts. Thank you Derek, for convincing me to pull this together, for helping me put this out, and for being a friend for the last 13 years.
Thank you Paul, for all your support, friendship, for Half Color, and for the good times doing science. Thank you Ben, for all the times and the music, for The Years. Thank you Seth, for being a part of this record, for always bringing the good vibes and for letting me keep your mixer all this time (HA!). Thank you Josh, for Estival, for your friendship and for bringing dub music into my life oh so many years ago (i promise i'll give back your turntable asap!).
Thank you to my loving and supportive girlfriend, Becca, who stuck with me through the hardest year of my life, and brought nothing but happiness into my world when I needed it most. Thank you to everyone else who has touched my life... to the friends, to the fans, to the future."

Wow, thank you for posting that. I somehow overlooked that file when I downloaded the album, and I had no idea of the story behind the songs. He's seriously becoming my favorite artist, I can't wait for the release of his new album.
I listen to the the other PL artists too, and I always like how they make their songs vague, since it leaves room for more interpretation. But I do like finding out the real meanings behind the songs too, so that is cool.

Yeah, Wendy's used to be my favorite munchies place. They're kinda going downhill as of late though. And yes, there's no way in hell any cheese is coming into contact with my burgers.

Yeah, I'd probably buy it too if I had the money to blow. That song is pretty cool, and does sound very similar to Skrillex. I do like the format Skrillex uses though, and this is probably my favorite song of his, and the video isn't half bad either.

Damn, I don't watch much TV these days, so I'm out of the loop. I knew it was pretty popular but it's becoming a common household word now it seems.

Exactly what has happened to dubstep.
When people say they listen to dubstep, and say they like Skrillex and what not, to me that's like saying you listen to metal and like Nickelback, or saying you listen to punk and you like Blink-182 .
For some reason when the word is brought up everyone thinks of shit like Skrillex, DR. P, Datsik, Excision, Bassnectar...Which are all mediocre at best, and that's how the genre is judged, by it's mainstream sounds. Americas take on Dubstep is so different, it should be in a genre of it's own (Brostep?) as it's so different. It's kinda of a joke too me at this point...This photo sums it up perfectly...

But there are indeed still a ton of amazing, creative, very unique sounding producers that are pushing the genre along, that are not regurgitating the same synths & robot sounds over and over. Please people, dig deeper, you will find some amazing artists....
/anti-skrillex rant ....
