It is possible as long as you have a life outside of drug use. If casual drug use if your hobby I wouldnt try it.
I used heroin recreationaly for a few years before i became dependent and the dependency was sparked by oxycodone not heroin(it just ended at heroin).

Stranger things have happened, but there's a 90% chance you will become hooked on heroin already because you think you might be able to handle it.
I would like to take a hit of crack now and then, maybe just a shot of dope when I am feeling stressed, but I know from painful and humiliating experience that once the ball gets rolling it is not easy to stop.
Heroin isn't even that good unless you are sick for it, if you've got no tolerance it will probably just make you sick and drowsy.

I smoked it twice about 10 years ago.
My supply went away and I never bothered to look for it.
Have never seen it again.
I could see myself getting hooked if I had easy access to it.

I only have experience with smoking tar and yes it is possible to use occasionally. thats what im doing now but there was a point where I was using ever day for 2 months. Snortin that china white is gonna be more addictive than smoking for sure.
Heroin is just..bad man. Really though. It changes you and you won't realize it. It becomes the center of your life and just eats your soul. I know so many people that could be really succesful but are ruining their lives with dope.
Honestly though if you can actually manage to use it sparingly then youll be fine. But your playing with fire..

Not worth the risk in my book.

I have dabbled with opiates (Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone...and H a couple times out of curiosity) off and on over the past two years or so. With that said  , I have been taking 5mg to 10mg of OC everyday for the past 5 weeks or so, which is the longest period I've ever used. I have 20mg left then that's it. I have some kratom that will be here in a week or two so I would like my tolerance to be down anyways.

I found that once I was hooked, which happened in the period of maybe a summer of "casual use", everything just became one disappointing hit after the next for the next six years.
I tried to be careful, it didn't matter, the drugs made me numb and weak. Once it gets under your skin the will you had to resist drugs will disappear and you will be left with only desire.
Learn to be comfortable with your fully-awake self even though that involves a greater degree of pain, or accept the fact that the drug is not serving you, you are serving the drug.
The shit is insidious, or at least it was for me. Be careful

Honestly,Right now it's just a fantasy if you will. in reality I probably won't abtain any H any time soon.
I dabble with opiates enough already, so it's probably best I wait. Although that high just sounds amazingly relaxing.

Good luck with that. Maybe there are a few random people out there that can, but they are the exception, not the rule. I just wanted to try it once, and after that one time I wanted to it every now & then. It turned into a several year battle that I barely survived & am lucky to have escaped. The same story repeats for everyone else I know that got into it, except my story is pretty much one of the only ones with a happy ending.
At the end of the day you're going to do what you want, but take heed. A lot of folks around here act like opiates are no worse than than pot, but that's bullshit. The majority of those same people will be posting horror stories within a couple of years......if they're posting at all.

Opiates are opiates.
When one likes opiates, they will tend to like many if not all opiates/opioids.
They're all mainly the same, with slight differences.
I say if you have the opportunity, go for it. At least to try it once.
If you can keep other opiates under control, you are more likely to keep diacetylmorphine under control.
To Dark Star, Yeah in a way opiates are "worse" drugs than thc because of the physical addiction, but the way I see it drugs are drugs. All of them have pros and cons, which are to be weighed and observed by each individual, based on their knowledge of their own body/mind and how it reacts to different chemicals. For some pot may be much "worse" than opiates.

I've used opiates a few times in a 4 year span:
Summer of 2009 I smoked opium, ingested opium and drank opium tea for a week in the summer months.
2010 I used 500mg of codeine on three diffirent days, I took one hydrocodone pill that year aswell.
2011 I used 1gram of codeine once, took a few oxycodone pills
2012 I freebased heroin of foil once.
I really have no problems at all with opiates and this comes from a person whom thinks that weed is addictive
