Well, yeah, but I guess that's the essence of the matter: this is not a rational thing. If you feel the need to have kids, then you don't need a reason. If you don't feel that need or desire, then no single reason will be really valid

i don't think anyone really said that. this person is imaginatively reading between lines and not actually understanding the sentences in which we typed.
even though they say they want to know different views. they explicitly type their own viewpoint constantly and don't get it. it won't change for them. they don't need to have kids. and i don't think i need to prove to them that they do. plus, i actually said that if you don't want one, don't have one.

Yes there is a system of political and cultural control in place, but no one is telling me when to go to sleep or what to eat. Well see, that is where you are wrong again. The government DOES put out a set of guidelines that you should be eating daily, ever hear of the food pyramid? The next part, is that, we GROW UP. A human being over the age of 14 should be completely competent to feed themselves, go to sleep on their own, do chores, etc, without anyone HAVING to help them. You don't need someone to baby you. Growing up means taking responsibility for yourself. You don't need someone to tell you when to go to sleep. The only time you aren't responsible for yourself is when you cannot physically and/or mentally do so.

They give you a reason to live and better yourself. If I didnt have kids I dont know where my life would be right now .. My kids and husband are the reasons I got clean and have stayed clean for the last 5+ years. I had my first daughter way to young and really screwed up and thankful when she was 4 I finally pulled it together. Had it not been for her I dont know where I would be right now.
Kids have an innocence and forgiving nature about them that touch peoples lives and I think that is important for most people to know that kind of love .
Meth clean is the way to be !
