Friend of mine from high school just officially went transexual and now wants to be known as a girl as well as beginning to live his/her life as a girl now.

It's awful. A guy who used to be in our inner circle decided to start dressing and acting like a girl and wanted us to call him by his female name. He looked so gross with his acne ridden face and balding hair. He would wear wigs and tons of makeup to make it look 'better' but it just couldn't be saved. I hated being around him, all of us did. He eventually caught on and stayed away. I'm all for tolerating it, but I'm not going to have you be a burden on my life and expect me to be happy about it. He made me gag just looking at him and made me feel very uncomfortable. I suggest you don't associate with them because nothing good comes from it.
