Agreed. I didn't really mind too many of the changes from the book up until the last episode. Oh well. Enjoy ASOS.

Okay, the season finale was completely underwhelming for me... I almost fell asleep. 
This is coming from the same person who was blown away by the episode immediately before this one. 
I'll probably try to re-watch it in a different state of mind...  Anyone agree though??

Whaaaa? I finished the second book yesterday, so I'm a little disappointed looking back across this past season. The episode before the finale just kinda pissed me off. I like battle scenes as much as the next person, but I wanted more story. I was upset that it ONLY focused on King's Landing...but whatevs. I loved the finale though. I was a little upset about some of the deviations from the book, but I understand that they only have so much time to bring the viewer to the same conclusions.

yea you definitely do, the books are so much better and have a lot of background information that the show leaves out...i know people always say that about books compared to TV/Movie but its usually true

i only have about 100 pages left, this book is awesome. you're in for a good read
...got a test in 8 hours but took a break from studying to read for about 30 minutes...that was about 5 hours ago...
i should probably get back to studying but its so gooooood!

Heh I've had that song stuck in my head for weeks now. So good. Can not wait for season three. I was slightly underwhelmed by the finale, but it was great still. I feel like since book three will be split between to seasons it should me more faithful and enjoyable, as season two was a little cramped. Still gotta finish reading clash, then onto storm, which Im really excited about reading. All so great.

You have to slog through book 4. Tough read, so far. May make good TV though, since it will combine with 5.

Yeah... the fact that books 4/5 were supposed to be one BIG book make them interesting reads, individually.
it was a bit hard to get "into" book 4, since it was essentially an entirely new story line. but I liked a few key characters that helped me get into it just like i did books 1/2/3.

300 pages into book 4 and trudging through...my friend suggested just reading chapter summaries so i can get on to the fifth but i'm gonna stick it out.
not very exciting compared to the third but the backstories and histories of new characters is interesting
