That was a terrible game, unexciting. 5 minute major.

Can't gloat on that. There was only two teams! I made a pretty decent call BEFORE the playoffs began that said the Kings were gonna ride Quick to the SCF. I also picked the Flyers/Pens to win the East so I wasn't dead on.

I talk a lot of shit with sports, but never bet money so I have to eat my words a lot. Can't I just enjoy sticking by a correct prediction? lol
I swore PHX was the best team in the West going into the playoffs, but I guess that just shows how hot LA actually was.
Glad that Quick got the Smythe, too.

Well considering you had one in three chances of being right. It isn't too impressive. The cup had to be won between the 4th and 7th game.
Guessing that the Kings would win it doesn't really count... Everybody knew the Kings would of won it.

Yeah man, I ended up so busy with finals and working and hanging out that it spaced my mind and I fell back so much I stopped bothering. Next season no doubt I'll play again and set like an alarm to check/pick answers.
i couldn't even watch the post game honestly, watching Carter mad me sick to my stomach *bleh*.

Out of all the former Flyers I feel Gagne deserved to win it the most. And I say that as a Devils fan. As much as it sucked to see the Devils lose the way they did, I was actually happy for him.

Yeah, LOVE Gags. One of my favorite players of all time. I want to see him play his final season as a Flyer, whenever that may be. Would love to see him retire a Flyer and there be a special night for him the next season.

Honestly didn't think he deserved it. Sure, he was an AMAZING scorer, but he doesn't even play PK, and that says a lot about his defensive abilities. He's gonna be a beast as he gets older, but the Norris should focus more on defense as well. Or they can maybe make an Orr trophy that goes to the best offensive defenseman while the Norris goes to best defensive or overall.

Pens ship Jordan Staal to Carolina, making Carolina "New Canada" for the next eight years since they have Eric Staal and another younger brother in their minor league system already.
Jordan gave the Pens some great years, but this "3-center model" hasn't done them much good recently, and also limited what they could do at wing.

Well, that won't be the only family reuniting next season. Flyers trade away JVR to Toronto for Luke Schenn. Hopefully when playing with good defensemen, Schenn can learn a thing or two. He's still only 22 (My age jesus christ), and he still can be a great defenseman. JVR has an amazing upside too, but he was out and didn't live up to expectations. Should still be good though, can't wait to watch him play here next season.
