ok so my buddy put these in the fruiting chamber last sunday he's had two pins that fully developed,a few days after putting the cakes in we noticed trich on one of the cakes he took the cake out and decided to see if the other cake would still produce but he's running into black tipped aborted pins and the other pins which seem to be cracking near the tip as seen in the pics. Also the tub sits between 95 and 100% humidity at all times.
one of the healthy pins
Any advice on this would be nice seeing as i could nt find anything on here already
If you are using a digital hygrometer to measure rH it could be wrong...most digitals have sensors that are not designed to be in such high humidity all the time...and the sensors get saturated and give false readings. You might check that out. If your shrooms feel dry when you touch them, and not a lil slick from moisture it is definitely not humid enough.
