Right now I live with my parents and go to community college. I am a smart person but I just hate school, I feel like it is pointless unless you are trying to get a job that requires a degree. In my classes I don't do any of the homework and I just do enough to get a C-B in my classes.
I myself want to start my own business, the only problem is I don't have the money and being 18 with no credit, it is hard to start something. I work as a busser at a resturaunt but all the money I make just goes towards college.
Do you all think joining the military would be a good idea for 4-6 years? When I get out I will have 100-200k if I save up my money, and then If I want I can go back to college or build up credit and start my own business.

Get a shit job. Realize why you need an education.
I don't get why you would go to school and NOT try as hard as you can. You'd learn a lot.

Don't go into the military unless you feel passionately about the service. Otherwise, you'll probably regret it.

Truth. I know people who are smart as fuck that are boxed out of tons of jobs because they don't have a college degree. The landscape is different now in that a degree does not lead to a particular job. It just leads to jobs in general. For any sort of non-service job, the lack of a bachelors WILL keep you out. Further, your shitty grades will keep you out of graduate school if you later change your mind and try and do that.
