I think circumcision is completely fucked up in so many ways.
Mainly the whole mutilation without ones consent aspect.
But also the whole, "if you dont do this he will have complications" myth.

yeah circumcision is a little weird, i'd never subject my future children to such a thing. i've heard it can cause lasting sexual dysfunction.
i'm personally bothered by casual racism and homophobia present everywhere in english net culture, these are issues that haven't completely been resolved yet in society.

I think circumcision is practiced today for 'sanitation' purposes. No one ever asked me if I wanted a foreskin or not!
But I personally think that lobbying is fucked up. I don't get how people are cool with the idea that corporate enterprises or people groups can literally purchase legality. It is the opposite of what a government should do. For example, the only reason we are allies with Israel is because they are the number 1 contributing lobbyist group to congress.
Not to hate on jews or anything... I mean they started circumcision too lol.

I'd say religion. Genital mutilation, countless wars, prohibition, a large portion of the world's greed, tons of sexual abuse (both psychological and physical), and fear (of gays, sex, hell, other cultures, one's own thoughts, etc) all hide behind it and are exponentially empowered by it.

Also quite happy personally to be circumcised.
I'm going to go with acceptable casual racism. Even though we're just a few generations divorced from a slave-centered culture (in the southern us), it bothers me that so many accept it as being normal or totally okay to harbor racist sentiment, even though by law everyone is equal.
