 I hope I die before pharmaceutical slavery

Truth be told I hope I die quickly in a freak accident before I reach an age where my body and mind require hardcore synthetic drugs in order to function properly. This is my biggest fear and It scares to shit out of me to imagine myself locked on a bunch of pills with tons of side effects. I would reather be shot and burried alive.

 How many psychedelic users — in any country — actually give
time to the local church soup kitchen, helping to feed the homeless and
hungry? How many of us, having had the experience, under the influence
of the visionary drugs, of seeing all human beings as incarnations of God,
have gone down to the local hospital to give affection and a listening ear to
lonely patients who need somebody to talk to? How many of us regularly
visit a jail, to provide spiritual and emotional support to confused, damaged
people who have grown up unloved, uneducated and unguided by their
confused, damaged parents -Alexander Shulgin

It's not THAT bad as long as you can get the medications you need, at least not bad enough to want to die, in my opinion.

I hope that, in the future, we will be able to go into a clinic and get a full profile for our brain chemistry, liver enzymes, etc. Then have personalized medications (and hopefully designer drugs) custom synthed for our unique metabolisms.
Just as much potential darkness is in our future as potential light, my friend. And I would rather live through all of it to see where we end up.

Shot and buried alive with no casket VS. Taking a few pills which would potentially improve my quality of life.
Hmmmm, it's a close one, but I think I'd opt for the pills.

Although that sounds like a nice idea. it will be exploited for money. Companies have already patented 4000 sections of DNA and the number will only grow. Personalized medicine will jack the prices up just like they do now-a-days with brand name medicine.
