Airport -> while GPS is still functioning -> Easter motherfucking island.
Though I realize that would require multiple flights, long-range flights. So you would probably want a dozen heavily armed survivors + a pilot and along the way you'd want to bring a bunch of supplies and plants you could live on/grow. Also board games and the like, because that is going to be a boring life if you succeed.

If we are talking 28 days later then I'm for that scenario of waking up in the hospital. I'd get to the country asap. Shouldn't be too hard to fend em off where I live and nothing would even come close to surviving a winter. I can think of a couple of places right now where you could grow whatever you need and you would be isolated perfectly by the natural terrain that no zombie would ever even come close. However, I'm close to a university with lots of agricultural research and development (first cloned sheep). If zombies break out anywhere it would be from a place like that. Where I live would be ground fucking zero.

if it was 28 days later type shit i think the best bet would be cruisin' on a boat. not a huge yacht type ass hole, but big enough to house 3-5 people. motha fuckin' pirates!!!

Home depot. Lots of supplies to lock that place up tight, make weapons, farm plants, live on the roof which is quite high off the ground.

you would need quite a team for that and lets be honest, whos gonna pop a proper team out that could hold down a fortress like that? you also gotta think about long term. would you really want to hold down a large fortress with that many people during times like that. pretty hefty shit on a human mind know matter how tough you think you might be.

Zombie Survival Guide type? I would go on the roof of my bowling alley. It's the last place anybody would be, because it's absolutely useless (for supplies). However, you could push the video games (pacman and shit) to barricade the glass doors, and there is a HUGE flat roof, you could collect plenty of water. The only problem would be food, but if you could get a good year's worth and a shitload of soil you could start a garden up there.
Okay, I'm going to make a zombie survival thread now :P

Why would anybody go to a hospital. A jail has weapons and choke points. Do people really think? Oh no, a random zombie outbreak I bet the local hospital has antibiotics that will save us if we are bitten because everyone knows they stock zombie antivenom.

You think Prison/Jail guards are armed? They're not even allowed to have guns. At best they have a small cabinet of rifles and a handgun. A hospital has scalpels and battery powered saws they'll cut right through a mother fucker.

A boat would also be pretty cool, provided that it was one of those epic boats that people live in. You could fish for food, make occasional raids on coastal towns if needed, and wait for the zombies to starve to death/decompose. Which might take a while if they figure out that they can eat animals and other things aside from people.
