when zombies attack?
jail would have more defense and would be a much more secure place to post up at along with gear and weapons, food, medicine... thing is getting out of the cell and dealing with all the other inmates.
a hospital would have all the necessary medicines and random secured halls, but wouldnt leave much for security and or protection. you also have to think about long term. eventually the strong who have survived will head for the hospitals. where would you go then?
im leaning more towards jail. its a very slim chance of surviving, but if you are able to get out of the cell... all would be gravy.

Both are major outbreak points and about the worst places to go in a zombie holocaust. I'd say somewhere out in the country far away from major civilization has the highest chance of survival without going to an island.

Fungi eat dead stuff right? Develop strain that likes meat...problem solved. Not that far fetched, after having found a mushroom that eats plastic and all. More feasible than an actual zombie apocalypse anyhow.

All i know is that id take guns/ammo and food to a flower shop with a flat roof. Id then barricade that shit off. Id then proceed to use the supplies in the store and grow food and various life sustaining plants like marijuana and other medicinal plants, on the roof. I would shower and collect water when it rains.

i like that flower shop idea. thats the last place anyone would think of going for supplies, it has a cooler area, and all the proper things to grow random shit. being a veggie man sucks, but you can def live for years from fruits and veggies.
