Ron Paul seems to be one of the more favorable presidential candidates from my perspective. To me, he seems like the only candidate who actually says what he believes instead of focusing on nothing other than marketing himself to the masses.
A lot of what he stands for seems to be good ideas imo, with the exception of a few things such as ending the fed or going back to the gold standard which is just as arbitrary as a fiat system.
Even his foreign policy stance which is denounced by many of the regulars here doesn't seem like a bad idea imo. I'm not convinced that withdrawing ourselves from the affairs of others is a bad idea.
With this being said, I am not very politically savvy as I spend little time following politics compared to what many of you guys seem to. I would appreciate reasons as to why I am wrong, and preferably backed with some solid links.

Ron Paul post number 6,497, or is it 6,498?

I just don't feel like going through old posts. Also, from what I remember, most attacks against him seem to have been lacking in evidence. The main point I am referring to is the thought that we should be involved with the affairs of other countries. I am not convinced that what we gain from foreign involvement outweighs the price tag. I am still undecided on this point.

I don't blame you, but you're going to get the same responses that are given each and every time this subject comes up.

You are probably right, but I think it's possible that someone may present some better arguments. The fact that I am actually open to evidence that you may present might spur someone to take a little more time with their argument.

Ah yes, taking a little more time with their argument. Let me contrast this with:

There is a difference between explaining a little more of what you already know and doing research on every claim that is made.

And I think it's possible that I may shit gold bricks, yet I am always disappointed.

you just have to eat enough beans to create enough gas to recreate the pressures found in the center of a dying star.

There are days those near me would say I've already achieved that amount of pressure.

Sorry for asking for people's arguments on a certain issue. All i want is some reasoning behind what is usually bare claims.
My post is well within the forum rules and guidelines, and there is bound to be repitition in any forum. I'm not spamming Ron Paul advertisements, but i am trying to have a real discussion.

I understand that.
I just saying you're way late to that party. It's been done. Repeatedly. In great detail. Many times.
The answers you'll receive are already easy to find. Right here in this very forum.
