Receiving weed to PO box.

So I am thinking of ordering weed to be sent to my PO box from high rated Sroad members. How safe is it if it is shipped from US and how about EU.
Am I likely going to get in trouble or could I just say I didn't even know that I ordered anything?
I do know that if dogs smell something then USPS can obtain a warrent but what are the chances of dogs sniffing the mail?

These sorts of things have been done successfully before, and people have gotten busted too. I'm sure you knew that. There's no way for anyone to tell you if you'll be straight or if you'll get caught. It's gone both ways before and there's always the possibility of it going either way for you. You know the risks. Choose your actions carefully. That's really all that can be said.

Wouldn't it just be easier to find weed locally?

Why not buy seeds and some lights and be set for life? Safer then this.

Yeah man I'd recommend finding bud locally, SR is only useful with hard to find stuff, everything on SR is pretty expensive, but you should be fine, people send bud through the mail all the time, the only thing to worry about is whether or not the sender has shitty packaging, but if he has a good rep there then he must be doing it right.

For some people, maybe... For everyone, not necessarily.
Being socially awkward and no longer exactly a young'n has made finding any drugs locally difficult for me. Also having had someone who initially offered ecstasy but then agreed to sell me weed try to violently rob me instead has made finding random street dealers all the more difficult. I am not interested in winding up in the emergency room getting 7 staples to my head again, especially not now that my health insurance would no longer just cost me $100 for said ER visit.
I am employed by a Fortune 100 company and have been for many years. They make no secret that they will pay us for tips about drug using coworkers and reserve the right to drug test anyone even if they are not in a random testing covered position. Asking coworkers for drugs just is not a realistic option. While I do need a second job, I'm not going to take some shit job waiting tables or whatever else just to cultivate a few drug hook-ups.
I've found where you live also plays a big role in the apparent availability of illicit drugs. The first 9 months in this city, one of the largest in the South, I had ZERO offers of illicit drugs. Well, actually, that is not entirely correct. While exiting the venue from a major electronica festival someone offered mdma and acid... Other than that single time no other offers of illicit narcotics had been extended to me. Oh wait, I did have one other indirect offer of mdma while visiting the Furthur lot. After having moved out of the uppity center of this town to a larger apt complex in a northern suburb, in less than 3 weeks, I've had one offer for green while walking around the complex, though I am yet to follow up with that person...
SR certainly is useful for the less common things, but as long as you stick with the tried and true vendors its also useful for MOM as well. The prices are certainly high, but a lot of work goes into the shipping for those that are doing things in such a manner that is unlikely to get you busted.
Just because its easy for you to find cannabis locally doesn't mean everyone has your network of friends or social skills.

Read the SR Forums. There's a few threads dedicated to Shipping that specifically answers this question.

That's not necessarily true. People get bud and hash overseas all the time. It depends on how well it's packaged plus a small bit of luck to not get caught.

SWIM gets packages every week. Always triple vacuum sealed and shipped either FedEx overnight or USPS priority 3-5 day.

USPS is safer than FedEx or UPS as USPS needs a warrant to open your package if they feel they need to.

I can't speak to the difficulty of getting a warrant for a USPS package, but it was disturbingly easy for police to get a warrant for a FedEx package. I doubt the bar is much higher for a warrant for a USPS package. Generally all that was needed for a warrant was a drug source state origin, CA, TX, AZ being the most common and a drug dog to hit on the package. With those two conditions met they would have a warrant in minutes.

Been there, done that... in the grand scheme, I think the risks of receiving non-felony amounts of cannabis via the post are less than growing your own, even when no one knows, especially when living in rental property.
