Longtime lurker to make first time cultivation. Criticisms welcome.

Okay I've been lurking for a long while taking in tons of info. I'm not perfect but I've done my homework. I think haha!
I'm jumping into a bulk yield instead of cakes.
My spawn will be rye seed in quart jars. My substrate is local horse manure. I have a 16 qt presto pressure cooker on the way. A cool stream humidifier. Panama strain syringes. Large plastic containers Dysinfectant Gloves and masks. Lasagna metal platers to fruit on.
I have a reasonably large closet to grow in 6 by 2 ft.
I'm Not asking my probable yield. Although I will be using the entire floor plan to fruit. Putting 12 to 15 platters down with a 3 to 1 ratio manure to spawn. If anyone has a modest yield for 3 flushes let me know but.
I'm more interested in what I have and what you guys think. I will post pictures. As items and supplies arrive
I'm not aski

You're very ambitious for a beginner, I hope all goes well and you've done your homework otherwise it'd be big waste of time, energy and resources. Good luck.

rye seed usually refers to rye grass seed and thats not what you want, you want rye berries (live-stock feed, usually, or get it in health food stores) rye seed (what a farmer uses to grow rye berries) is often treated with a fungiside and a bitterant to keep animals from eating the seeds out of the ground, so you don't want that either

I'm assuming you're going to use polyfil for your jars but I highly recommend synthetic filter discs they're not very expensive and a huge upgrade in filtration. As many before me have said you can never be too sterile in this hobby. I see you have a humidifier, what kind of FC are you shooting for?

Mycelium eats metal kitchen treys! line them with syran-wrap, and get plastic containers next time.

Thanks!
Polyfil is Polyester fiber synthetic pillow stuffing. It is the stuff you use for filling pillows and stuffed animals. You can get some easily by buying a cheap pillow and ripping open a seam.

Quoted for truth, and for great justice!
I learned this "the hard way"
I use rye grass seed as spawn for my Pans. Works great, they seem to like it more than the rye berries. It made even more sense when I read some people have good success fruiting Pans from cased rye seed alone.
No reason to use seed instead of grain as spawn for cubes and other species, and a few reasons to use berries instead of seed. Do make sure to wash and rinse well before your soak, and use new water (+coffee and gypsum if you do) for the boil if using commercial rye seed.

Thanks so you used the seeds not the berries? Also wash them with coffee and gypsum water? Sorry a bit confused

I use rye berries for everything else, just rye grass seed for Pans. But rye grass seed will definitely work better than fine, if you've already got it. If you can find a farmer's co-op, get rye grain (berries) from them sometime and use it going forward. They'll have the absolute best price for it. It turned out being the cheapest and best spawn for me.
Lots of mycologists soak their spawn grain in water+coffee, and often add gypsum too. To avoid having to worry about the additives to the seed mentioned above, wash and rinse your seed before soak, and after the soak when you go to boil, use new water again. If you don't add more coffee and gypsum at this stage, lots of what soaked in will be boiled out since you're not using the same water to avoid keeping those chemical treatments. Note it doesn't take much gypsum, so you're not really wasting anything.

So I don't have to boil my rye seeds? There's so many options

You never HAVE to boil, but it ensures your grain is hydrated throughout, and the high temperature after boiling when straining evaporates excess water off the surface of the grains. IMO it's the best way to prepare grains, day-long soak then 5-10minte boil. Got it from a tek that lots and lots of folks use with perfect success
The rye grass seed is a bit harder to hydrate perfectly. The top of the spawn jars sometimes dry out some when using the seed. You won't have any real problems though.
You may benefit from having so many more inoculation points when using rye seed to spawn.
