That's why i just cut off all my hair, i was sick of the stereotyping. I was a hipster before there even were hipsters. I just like good music that is underground and don't follow anything. what if who you are falls into one of those categories by default. Im a pretty weird fucking guy, i like weird shit, and prolly dress kinda off. RIGHT THERE 
Prime example of what I hate and why I think Hipsters/Hippies are stupid. People who say they are "Weird" are not weird. They are trying to be that way to establish some unique core identity when in realty they are simply a group of followers. A low class doomed to drink shitty beer and act completley contrary to who they are (despite thinking they have found themselves).
Lots of hot girls with emotional problems think this way too. They think they are "weird" or "unique", and thats why they hang out w/ the guys and act the way they do.

Dude if you knew me better I think you would agree. I have been doing mushrooms since i was 15. This sort of sets the stage for detatchment from commercial society. I never said I found myself. Im still finding myself. Im just being true to the way I think. And the way I think is not normal. I have talked to LOTS of people, and most people think im a little off. Not fucked up or anything, just different. I think about things that actually matter. The real world issues. Maybe I am acting out against that through participating in a counter culture, who knows. But its not a counter culture when you create it yourself. Im not following anything other than my mind. I don't follow any scenes.

Man im not saying "LOOK HOW COOL AND REBELIOUS I AM I DID MUSHROOMS EARLY!!!" Im saying that mushrooms are a very spiritual thing for me. I took them at a young age. And as a result it changed my perspective on a lot of things that many people don't realise until their 40's. THIS is how it set me apart. High school was painful, seeing all the stupid fucking people worried about stupid fucking shit. Enlightenment has its prices. My life honestly isn't easy. Sometimes I wish i was like everyone else and just ate up societies bullshit. But then I remember how lame they are and am happy with my situation.

Ive been a hippie all my life. When i was in 8th grade i was going to ABB shows and shit. The only shirts i own/wear are tour shirts. My everyday pants are either tattered jeans or patchwork pants.

Goddammit I love the show Portlandia! It is pure comic genius. I also love that Peter Bjorn and John song. I say let people be. As long as they are not in my face bugging me about some spare change or some other shit.
I respect the ones that can live a life out of the corporate world and make their way. I am a "preppie/straight/cop looking" type person. I don't much mind hipsters. There are tons of them where I am, but they are mostly a silent group.
What annoys me more is the massive amount of vocal bandwagoners proclaiming they hate hipsters.
Sure, hipsters occasionally preach about the perils of consumerism and the importance of being "original" and ironically doing quirky things.
And maybe some of them do wear shirts with pictures of their own faces on them.
But at least they don't (usually) take a group of people, simplify them down to an abstract concept, and "hate" them publicly and incessantly.
Besides. Hating hipsters is so mainstream. Find something new to make fun of, will you?
