I have so many Heinlein books that I really love.
I think he's a better writer than any of his contemporaries, Asimov included.
This particular one of his is awful though.

Just finished reading the two first books in the Hyperion serie by Dan Simmons. Some of the best sci-fi I ever read. Waiting for the two last books in the serie(Endymion/The Rise of Endymion). Recommend these books to anyone into the sci-fi genre.

Nine Princes in Amber by Roger Zelazny
It's a good read so far. I'm trying to decide if I wanna read the next one in the series after this, or break it up with something else.

I've said before that I think that's probably the best fantasy series ever written, and among some of the best books I've read, but Esselmont's contributions are rather bad. I didn't enjoy the two that I read at all.

Interesting...
I usually avoid those sort of unofficial extensions written by anyone other than the original author... I'm hoping the 10th book will satisfy me so I need not forray into them
But damn, the series really is an amazing exercise in memory - SO. MANY. Characters.
