I dont use one yet, I'm about to clone for the first time (into an LC) and then I plan to get started working with agar and isolating which will require one of the two and I think ill be going with the glove box
edit. nice tat man, I'm thinking of adding something mushroomy into my half sleve.. dont know if i want it realistic looking or carton-trippy looking

With a laminar flow hood and the use of proper sterile procedure, you'll achieve 100% success against contamination except in the cases where the filter is compromised or there's a pinhole in the spawn bag, etc. RR

I have almost the same glove box (GB). Check out the reply I put in the thread in the link. I poster there before I saw this post. I didn't end up using the dish washing gloves for mine though because I couldn't find a pair big enough for me to pull my hands in and out of. Instead I just used the tyvek sleeves and latex gloves on my hands.

Love my glove box. 0 contams unless I'm working with a wild print on the agar, other than that though, for the price... I wouldn't trade my glove box for anything. I do have to say that a flow hood would be nice because after spending an hour in my glove box, my back starts killing me from the position. Definitely not a bad trade off though.

I can't quite afford a Laminar flowhood yet. But believe me I have been pricing them. I think my next jump though will be from my walmart pressure cooker to an All American 930. That thing can hold 14 quart jars at one time. I would be saving so much time doing 14 jars at a time then 3 jars at a time.
But yes, after I get the All American 930 my next step will be to get a Laminar flow hood. I should have the dough together for the pressure cooker in about a month. Not sure about the $,000+ flowhood though. Until I can afford it though I will do my work in a glove box. Everything has worked out good so far.
