 How screwed is my tub?

I was banging my jars on the carpeted floor because I didn't have a bike tire or anything else. Out of a lot of jars, one broke. I quickly grabbed as much rye as I could and put it into the tub, but some glass got in there too. (even cut my fingers a bit) It was all over the carpet. Will this guarantee contams? I'm guessing yes.

Yes it was colonized and consolidated for probably over a week. I was breaking up the spawn in the jar to pour it into the tub. But the glass shattered when it was broken up and rye went everywhere. I probably saved a little over half of that jar and put it into the tub.

I've done that before. Banging the jars on the floor, just like you, and I cut my hand up a bit. Live and learn, and don't bang quite so hard. I bang my jars with my hands now, using an oven mitt on one hand to cushion the blow.
As for the contam issue, it seems like you introduced a very, very risky vector for contamination into your grow, so only time will tell if you got lucky. The smart thing to have done would be to scrap that bit of colonized rye in favor of saving the tub. Using one less quart of spawn isn't going to hurt so bad compared to losing all of them due to an easily avoidable contamination vector. Oh well, like I said, live and learn. Good luck with the tub.

I would think it should be fine.
just be careful in the future. when I shake my jars I wrap them in a clean towel an smack it on something.
I used to use my palm but got used to using a towel for shaking hot grain jars. deff wouldn't want hot glass shards in your hand.

I wouldn't bang my jars on the carpeted floor next to where I was spawning a tub at all. I imagine that would stir up a ton of nasties on the floor. I lay a towel on the arm of my couch and bang the shit out of it.

I think it was a stupid mistake for you to put it back in. I bet it has been compromised and will contaminate. (if i understood correctly that you picked it up OFF of the FLOOR)

Terrible idea. You should have just cleaned it up and forgot about that jar. Carpet harbors more contaminate spores than almost any other surface in your house. I will be seriously surprised if your tub is not totally F'd. Like Dwight said, even doing work on your carpet is risky business. Every move you make stirs up all that nasty crap stuck in your carpet.
