Learn a skill or trade that they can't outsource overseas. Get a decent job, grow shrooms and cactus, fall in love, get married, have kids, get divorced, get Alzheimers, die.

Yeah, you sound like you're coming of age. Life is a bitch at this age (I'm almost 20).
No one has any idea what the fuck is going on. It takes some people a few years to get their life stable.
My advice? Learn something that doesn't take much schooling, but is solid work. Like welding, mechanic, machining, electrician, carpenter. They make good money, have work that isn't completely horrible, and you have some job security (more than at a fast food joint where any teenager can do your job just as well with a week's training).
Honestly, dude. Education is the way out. Everyone bitches about how they got a degree and can't find work and blah blah blah. Most of those people got a useless degree, or had a shitty GPA.
I'm not even telling you to get a degree. Go to a community college, they have trades there usually for dirt cheap. So if you take welding classes at your local CC, and still for some fucking reason can't find a job, it didn't cost you anything.
But if you get all your welding certificates and can't find work, you done fucked up somehow.

That's good advice.
There's a lot to be said about learning a trade. You can always go pursue a degree while working or after working for several years when you're more focused and inclined to do well in school. Your trade if chosen correctly can be applied other fields and if worse comes to worse you can always fall back on it.
