Yea, right now. I was just "keeping it" inside because it was so cold and so my daughter could learn about them, she loves bugs. When I was reading up on it I found out that they make their own antifreeze, cool huh.
Its a Giant Leopard Moth(Hypercompe scribonia).

This one doesn't make you itch, although I believe I remember hearing about some in Amazon that can actually kill you. So yea, some are poisonous.
My mom always told me these were but after researching it I found it to be a wives tale.

i dont trust any caterpillar  lived in panama for 2 years as a kid and it ruined my innocence of bugs
one day my brother and i saw a couple caterpillars chilling on a wall. we saw em and thought "oh cool, lets go examine them". so we approached them and as one of us was reaching out to pick it up, the damn things started hissing...loudly. then, as we were looking at eachother perplexed, one of the "cute" caterpillars fucking JUMPED off the wall and tried to attack, i shit you not.
thus ended my innocence of dealing with any kind of bugs
