 Just found out my friend's dad is celebrity

I just found out that a guy I've been studying/ hanging out with for about a month has a dad who is famous rapper that lives in california.
I can tell he was hesitant to tell me at first because he avoided talking about family for a long time til today, and I don't want it to change the dynamic of our friendship.
Anyone else know famous people or their family members, and you get along with them even though you aren't from that background?

Working as as a sound engineer I know plenty of musicians that got famous or semi famous. Generally if they were nice people before they stayed nice people.

He's in the NFL now. I was a freshmen when he was a senior, my sister was his English teacher. He was actually a really chill guy. Huge as fuck but cool. Also, Justin Blackmon is from my hometown. He's one of the top receivers in the NCAA right now and is more than likely going to the NFL. He's a pretty chill dude too.
Oh and some girl I used to hook up with in highschool is related to Don Cheadle the actor.

relatives worked with Elvis for several years, 3 of my relatives are pretty
famous, 2 of which have won Grammy awards, I got groped by Grace Jones at
Club112, attended a new years party at tree sound studios where a friend
worked and have met numerous other musicians and partied with them, some only
minor fame others pretty well known, pro athletes were everywhere in atlanta.
I've dined with Ted Turner at the chinese restaurant that used to reside in
CNN Center and even been in the home of Jane Fonda. she refers to the foyer
of her home as her vagina. she's honestly a crude woman

My grandpa was business partners with Mike ditka in the 80's...the bears used to come over to their house for lunch cookouts and shit..it was cool. I also met morgan freeman in the islands =)

A famous person is someone that most people would know, Micheal Jordon or Roger Federer.

A couple acquaintances of mine have the same names as famous people, Barry White and Michael Bolton. The singer Michael Bolton wasn't able to get a twitter account with his name because that guy already had it. My sister's landlord also apparently knows Natalie Portman.

I learned after working out with this dude and making small talk for months that he's the bassist from Disturbed. We aren't like buddies or anything, just go to the same gym. I'm not a Disturbed fan, but they are pretty damn famous it seems, so that's kinda cool.

My friends dad was Mike tysons main sparring partner and trainer for quite some time, he fought holyfield and knew Tupac before he died. He dropped by and watched tyson train every once in a while. Hung out with him a few times dudes a fuckin beast, next time he comes by he wants to have a sparring session

I had a neighbor/buddy who's dad was a famous producer in cali.
His dad worked on Appetite for destruction, various Bob Dylan recordings and even nick cave. I drank, hung out and jammed with the guy for more than a year before mentioned it to me. I guess he'd met alot of fake people over the years who wanted him to pass demo tracks on to his father. I admit i was kinda struck by his photos of him and Slash just chillin on his couch.
He was a great guy. He is doing well in his own band today. They've been featured in soundtracks n stuff, touring Europe. Glad to see him succeed.
Anyway, one of my near famous person story, among others.
