 Magic: The Gathering

Found some extra time on my hands since I'm only taking three classes this semester and got to looking around and found my magic cards. 
New cards just came out on the 4th, so I ordered a fat pack and some boosters of others expansions. Just need to get old friends playing again..
Anyone else still play?

Hell yeah. My wife and I play pretty often, maybe every week or two, and we have some friends over a couple times a month to play too. Started playing again during a deployment and have been pretty regularly ever since.

i've been wanting to, all my cards are from like 97 and 98 so i'm sure it's changed since then.

I never played, but I used to collect the cards. I just came across the in the attic a few weeks ago. I wonder if they're worth anything.......

i found that my cards that were rare in the late 90's aren't worth shit now due to internets.

it's a game. my bro plays it alot. i mostly only play when i hang out with him, and recently online with those free-play games. but yeah, its a fun game to play. can get highly strategical against good players/decks

Yeah when I was last playing I think the current sets were like Invasion, Judgement..around that time. Almost thinking about some friday night magic haha.

I used to play OLDSCHOOL magic! I had thousands of dollars worth of magic cards at one point(not by todays prices though)...I started playing when 4th and 5th edition came out but I LOVED collecting the older cards like Arabian nights, unlimited, and even some alpha and beta cards! Got rid of them all back in the day for 100 bucks Even by todays standards I could have made AT LEAST 300-400 easily with the cards I had.
These are my 3 top favorites that I owned..
All damage delt to you is reduced to 0!!! Just throw a spell on ali to make him unnaffected by damage and spells, and you are almost invinsible!
This is just a REALLY good card for red decks!!!
One day I bought an old pack of legends and I ended up getting this gem! The rarest cad in the set! If you are about to die, you whip this out and trade lives!!! I never used it but it is a REALLY interesting card. The thing I like about it most is the the artwork
Magic brings back some goooood old memories!!!

it really depends on the the specific years you own... Cards from 1993 are WAY WAY more rare than cards from 1995. From what I remember.... Anything past 1995-96 are not worth much
