Its a Panaeolus species.    Looks close to P. papilionaceus, but that species does not grow outside of dung habitats as far as I know.

Microscopy and DNA sequencing would be helpful.

Duck hi-way I have! 6 months ago, I bought cute little yellow ducks, 2000 females and they gave me 1600 males for free! This video was taken 2 weeks later, their second day of adventure into the outside, free-range world ( they come back 5 pm on the dot on their own, so cool).  Now they're 10 times the size. I find mushrooms everywhere they have been. I found the these mushrooms on the "side walk" of this video.

They are hilarious. And there're several thousand eggs in my front room to sell! And their poo gives all sorts of mushrooms too.
Thanks RiverD for all the compliments, I'm just having fun!

Panaeolus papilionaceus.

by Michael Kuo

"Panaeolus papilionaceus is a "coprophilous" mushroom, which is nice way of saying it grows on, um, dung (primarily that of horses and cows) or in soil that has been enriched with equine or bovine blessings."

You are probably the only person in history to be able to casually drop the phrase "duck highway" and then back it up with evidence.

Panaeolus papilionaceus it is! It says edible. I imagine it will turn your omelet gray. Might be good for squid ink pasta.

Yes, all members Panaeolus are edible, though some contain psilocybin.  Panaeolus papilionaceus has been reported to contain psilocybin, but I am pretty sure those reports are false.  If you decide to cook it up and eat it let us know how you like it.

I think Panaeolus taste kind of odd raw, but I have not yet tried cooking them.  I would like to give them a try at some point.  Cactu cooks Panaeolus antillarum and says they are good.

Hahaha, they are so funny.
Here's a duck update when they were adults. After being penned inside a warehouse when a 150mph typhoon hit us in November. They were inside for 6 hours and they ate more than 500 lbs of grain!
