I want to grow a patch of barely for beer making but I'm having issues with google giving me what I want. any help please?

2 row from Johnnyseeds they have it on back order though. I've bought other kinds of seed from them and they were good, also give them a call, they may tell you where you can get it before April.
Also try your local feed store, and brewery supply.

You should be able to get fresh barley seed at brewing supply places.
I know I've seen stuff you can sprout and then roast yourself for making booze, make your own malted barely stuff. I don't see why can't just plant some of those little sprouts instead of cooking them.
Grocery stores that carry bulk grain, farm supply probebly.
