how i enjoy maitakes

i shred them into a pan lightly covered in olive oil with my hands.

season with a little black pepper, and saute them on low medium heat.

then i add them to some campbells beef or veggie soup heating slowly on the stove top.

for some reason the maitake makes the black pepper seem hotter. i eat the soup with some buttered bread on the side. yum.
