Please help ID this Cactus

Hello there, I Live in California and was interested in identifying a cactus that grows in my front yard. Its very large and looks very similar to the San Pedro cactus.
Here is a few pictures:

In this image you can see that at the base of the spikes it is white

I looked very closesly and noticed that there is a faint white powder that seems to come from around the base of the spikes.

Here is a top view of one of the branches. it is connected to the very large cactus.



To me it looks very much like a san pedro but I have only seen google images of what a real one looks like. If anyone could help me identify this cactus it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

it's not a pedro from what i see. the sides are too flat.

Definitely Cereus pachanoi, not active.

if you can grow that you could def. plant some pedro. i agree that it's cool looking.

As far as im aware i dont think there is such cactus as "Cereus pachanoi".
To OP, i believe your cactus is Cereus peruvianus, which is not active, and is very commonly confused with Trichocereus pachanoi.
