Is this healthy Myce growth?

Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster.
This is a rye grain substrate jar with 3 CC's of golden teacher inoculated into it. This progress is just after a week and a half. And yes, the jars and grain was pressure cooked and sterilized.
I see slight discoloration, but it some of it seems to just be the grain pressed against the glass. Any insight is very much appreciated! I look forward to being an asset to this community.

Thanks Vernus, I just banged the jar against a rubber tire and loosened it all up, then shook. is it normal for it to clump together in solid form after shaking?
Appreciate it!

as long as you are sure they spread around evenly so that when the mycelium starts recovering, is all over the jar. i personally like spawn bags more just for that purpose coz i like messaging over banging jars.
so what you wana mix it with ? just curious

Sucks when you don't have a tire or anything and you gotta bang the jars up with your hands....I was breaking them up on a towel but it ended up cracking a jar so I used my hands for awhile.

Golden teachers. I inoculated 2 rye grain bags (inculated on the side of the bag through a port so i could observe myce growth) i got from mush_box_dot_com. I put 3.5 cc's of cambodian in one bag, and 3.5 cc's of golden teachers in the other bag. That was January 5th. Still no sign of myce growth. any suggestions? Thanks dudes!

spores101..
i had checked this forum and there are great references from them, but they arent on the list.
Also, their extra dark syri's look the same as the normal ones, just specs of clustered spores or dirt floating around inside. very few.

I had a bad experience with them. 5 out of 5 syringes were bunk. no visible spores in them either. they sent me more after i complained, and again.. bunk

In my opinion, starting out with grains is a really shitty idea. It will take you time to learn the basics and techniques required for bulk grows, including pasteurization and preparation. These are quite difficult steps for a newbie.
We had another grower who had knocked up 10 jars of grain in his shitty room and all he got was trich growing in his sub. Now he is thinking of transfers and I doubt his success rate will increase.
I suggest you start out with a batch of PF cakes, learn the basics, learn to spot contamination, learn how to fruit etc, before you give in to bulk grows.
I cant tell whats in your jar.

Looks healthy to me. I can't say for sure about the bottom half though, looks a little wet... Could be bacteria. A better picture would help.

If you're gonna reuse that jar, you better pressure cook it for a good while before you open it. It will smell amazing.

Holy hell man... Wow... At first it looked like a shit ton of invitro fruits... Definitely just toss that jar, the pure white fluffy stuff you see in the middle seams to be healthy mycelium but the bottom is bacteria for sure. I wouldn't pc unless you want your house smelling like shit for the next few days. Just toss it and start over. Looks like your grain may have been too wet when you started off.

Should be fine to test. As long as your sure the cubes are fruiting not something else. Definitely trash if that was after shaking. Looks like bacteria.
