please help me identify this cactus

Hello there, I Live in California and was interested in identifying a cactus that grows in my front yard. Its very large and looks very similar to the San Pedro cactus.
Here is a few pictures:

In this image you can see that at the base of the spikes it is white

I looked very closesly and noticed that there is a faint white powder that seems to come from around the base of the spikes.

Here is a top view of one of the branches. it is connected to the very large cactus.

To me it looks very much like a san pedro but I have only seen google images of what a real one looks like. If anyone could help me identify this cactus it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I don't think its a San Pedro, but you'd likely get better cactus ids in the ethnobotanical forum.

i don't know that much... but the ribs look too thin to be San Pedro which usually has fat swollen ribs.

It is Cereus peruvianus, probably the most common landscaping cactus.
