Interesting. He's been a fucking disaster so far, big Ks, big BBs and big HRs and he pitches in the AL East. I'd give him to you for a bag of donuts if I could be sure your new roommate hadn't cream filled them.

I think Moore has really picked it up the past month or so and his ERA doesn't reflect his talent. He had an adjustment period for the first month of the season, most pitchers do. If a pitcher can come up to the bigs and post a k/9 over 9 in the AL east his first month, chances are he's really good. I can think of about two lefties that throw 94 + on their heaters, Moore and David Price. And look what Price did his first season. IMO, Moore is more polished than Price was at the time.

You're seeing something I'm not, that's for sure. And I've got a definite prejudice against AL East pitchers, especially ones who give up a lot of walks and homers. The Yankees and Red Sox usually eat them alive.

Yeah, I woulda thought the way Straburg is pitching, he'd be the most coveted pitcher in the league
He's the #12 rated player. 8 W's, 100K's in only 77 IP. 2.45 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP
If that isnt a tradable player, then I dont know what is.

I just feel like his shoulder could fly off at any moment. Hope he stays healthy, maybe the most talented pitcher I've ever seen. I'd stay Pedro Martinez, but I think it's likely he juiced. That or his fingers were just super long.

As far as Moore goes, I'm watching him now, he needs another pitch to get lefties out. Which is weird since he's left handed and all. I'm thinking he adds a cutter like Cole Hamels did, and he's one of the best in the business. His curve is just a show-me pitch, and his change doesn't work on lefties whereas it's murder on righties.

You get way too invested in minutia. Real baseball is micro. Fantasy baseball is macro.

Well just look at his k/9 in the minors. It's ridiculous. Now k/9 doesnt always translate. Soft tossing control lefties can have really good k/9 rates in triple a. But I'm finding power pitchers with really good strikeout rates in AA and AAA it will usually sustain in MLB. Also, I like how the Rays develop their players. Moore spent a lot of time at each level of the minors. Most of their players are brought up like that, aside from Price. But Price is a freak of nature so.
