Hello friends ... Maybe you remember me as the russian who bought pressure cooker (with your help)  ... So now i am waiting for some p.cubensis kambodian ( or cambodian) strain ..anyway .. İ just want to ask all questions to make sure i will do ok.... This will be my first grow so ...Thank you much ..much
1. What is a quart mason jar?
2. While the mycelium grows in jar what is the importance of big hole on lid?
2.1. Can i use cotton like material to cover that hole? ( or something simple)
3. Does mycelium require light?
4.which temps are best for mycelium growth?
5. How much rye should i use for 1 L jar?
6. When i get the spores, i am thinking to boil some water and shortly put the spores with a sterilized knife in to that( after cooled) water .. İs this an ok way?
7. For flat cake .. İ cant find any coir .. Can use only vermiculate for the deep layer and surface layer? Or something else like dirth?
8. What is the recuested amount of light for mushroom grow?( my window got light but ...)
9. İmportance of blue spectrum?

I'm from the metrical europe, so I know what you're talking about 
1. A quart is roughly a litre. Mason is the Brand.
2. Which big whole do you mean?
2.1. Ah yes, but you better use synthetic cotton (viscose) if you can
get it. Polyfill is synthetic pillow filling, so I don't know if
you can get it.
3. Some do their grows in total darkness, some say light does no harm.
RR even recommends it I think.
4. 20-25°C (68-75°F) is the recommended range. Old sources say 80°F
(ca. 30°C) is ideal, but the contamination chance is higher.
5. About the same as for a quart jar.
6. I'd take a small glass (like capres or caviar), clean it with sharp
chemicals and leave the lid open and cover it with tinfoil, while
you sterilize it with the rest.
7. You can take pasteurized straw. Look it up.
8. Indirect sunlight is ok, otherwise it might heat up.
9. The blue light is high energy light, cubes use it. But I read from
someone who uses normal "warm white" and it seems alright.
10. Depends if you do a shotgun terrarium or a Monotub.
11. 3-5 times.
12. ?!?

Thank you for videos master ( even this phone doesnt play them lol ) ... I wll watch somewhere.  ... And softrocker thanks man for clearing me up some... But 7. Question still making me think... I mean i saw every one useing coir and vermiculate like material to cover under and surface layer of mycelium (in flat cake) ... I have found vermiculate ...no coir or cow shit around me ... Its -25 outside .. Everywhere snow.. I dont think there is a cow out there. Even if there is , i am sure her asshole is freezed .. So she cant even drop poo. Lol. So anywy .. Only vermiculate !! What you say?

do you have any pet stores near? they may have some coir. Its called eco earth. Or if worse comes to worse you could just use verm. Results wont be as good though. check the links in my sig for helpful notes and the amu link for new teks.

Hey taco ..yes in the town we got those animal markets... I am not sure they have coir ... I remember those people when i said them ... Do you have any vermiculate !! They were looking to me, like i am an alien...i will countine to search. By the way Dude, you done a good work and idea by collecting all that links. And previev under saperated parts... Thanks man hope i will find it ... But When i say coir ... İf they look to me, like i am alien .. İ guess İll exPlain something like ; ok you know the tree " palm" and you know the "big brown hairy balls on them ...if still dont get it i will show something smilar( big, hairy but not brown)... Heheh

I dont think... They know, what reptile teraria is ...but ok ill keep in mind. Or i will just get some chocklat nestle ..and smash it to my balls so that they will see what i am talki... yea the pic is kinda blury im sorry... there are many white sploches all over the jar. it almsot looks like short hairs growing on the bird seed. i cant quite decide if its cobweb or mycilium.

i have 6 jars with 3 injection points in each. i will have better pics posted shortly. you will be able to tell in them for sure. everything is white thats growing so i dont see any contam. i also shoom the jars right after inoculation
