if you guys can check that link plz. there are SO MANY ABORTS. I personally think there isn't sufficient microclimate to support the pins... but have you ever seen so many aborts in one small area I sure haven't. Its amazing pinload. If only they can be made to fruit! DAMn!

I also saw no aborts, just normal pins becoming mature mushrooms. This probably should be moved also.

sorry its supposed to be that thread. You can see literally hundreds of aborts I wonder if he covered it in a plastic bag with some tiny holes in it if it woulda created the appropriate microclimate?

If those are pins/aborts, i'm sure that contam has something to do with it... The fruits don't look very healthy... It was done in a burlap sack, I dont think the cultivator was trying for bulk, just a different method. "experimentation", just like RR's bible, bra, and many other fun projects people have done

I especially liked the newspaper one mind you the guy treated the newspaper with h202...
Im just curious how mycelium can grow THROUGH a wad of newspaper like that since it is basically a solid mass, although shapeshifty still there are hardly any holes in a wad of wetted nespaper mush/..

myc eats as it spreads. It will even eat through tinfoil. You'll have to research a little more about mycelium if you want to know how it does that

thats amazing though they usually take about having granulated spawn medium. why then can't a solid mass of cardboard goo/paste / wad be used as a spawn medium since as you say it can be grown through and through with mycelium, it could be torn apart in the medium... wonder if it would work... sounds a bit clumsy...

If you look at the bottom of the stems you see that all of the shrooms got "fuzzy feet". This usually happens when the shrooms don't get the amount of fresh air exchange they need or they have too much co2.
Seems a bit strange as it hangs in free air though. Maybee its the same reason for the fuzzy feet and the small aborts. Or maybee the sack has experienced some major temperature change when the pinning occured.

m but i also saw another tray somewhere with similar vast quantities of pins that never made it. its a shame because those would be Macnificent flushes if they all grew.

Rhizomorphs at the base of the stem are always found in this species.

THAT is useful Alan. ...I am sure that I would have assumed insufficient FAE too.
