They love warm weather, sun and free draining soil. Catha Edulis hates soggy roots.

The plants expressing the NL phenotype are supposedly more tolerant of clay soils. But for the best growth treat it like you would the other types of khat. The neat things about plants expressing the NL phenotype is that they mature (i.e. flower) much more quickly than the other types.

cool as man cheers i have it in the usual nice airated good drainage soil with say 1/4 sand and water it once or twice a fortnight..
