Ok, I'm here because I wish to keep a vale of anonymity. Don't wish too many shroomers knowing I'm about to dabble with IV usage.
I got a couple of 4mg Dilaudids and figured I would let er rip.
Well I went to about ten different pharmacies and no one dared sell me any insulin needles without a prescription for diabetic medicine. I gave them a shpeel that my dads VA shipment hadn't arrived and that he asked me to pick him up some from the pharmacy because he does it all the time.
Well They said if I brought the prescription, or ampules or my Dad to the pharmacy they would sell me some. I almost, damn near almost, had this older gentlemen pharmacist kick me down a couple but he said since he never saw me before he didn't trust me. Good call ole feller.
Doesn't help that I live in California's Central Valley, ain't nothing out here except Cows, Cow Shit and Oil Derricks, and about 300,000 people. So there ain't too much of the homeless drug addicts running around here. Though BTH is cheaper in that it don't cost more or less but they never fucking cut it here! At least the shit I get. Helps that the town I live is a Strategic Location for forwarding contraband.
When I lived in San Francisco I couldn't walk four feet without kicking a fucking Orange Cap Insulin Rig. I read on Opiophile where people in San Francisco buy single needles from the pharmacy; besides using exchanges. This is more than likely done at the discretion of the pharmacist or whoever else is there in an attempt at Harm Reduction.
HOw in the hell can I get an insulin Rip 28G 100U? I almost thought about asking some trash digger types I see all over town. Then the next then you know I will be back to smoking it again.
This is an issue I do not agree with the State upon, well one of many. If someone ask to but Syringes they should have that ability. Its not about the fact that they are trying to stop IV or any drug us. Because they are not. They are making it far more easier for people to cause greater harm to themselves and others by spreading communicable diseases.
Talking about the control of the distribution of these needles, now do needle exchanges get away with exchanging needles?

Order online, find a NX near you, or find someone with a legit script to buy and stock up. Lots of old IV users have diabetes, shooting binders and cuts isn't nice on the kidneys, something to keep in mind.
I'm suprised to hear that they give you trouble. I never had any problems where I live, they're actually obligated to sell them I think.

Well I'm living California's Kern County; all the people were reciting that state laws blah blah you need a script blah blah iv drug use blah.
I know I wouldn't have any issue finding the in San Francisco since all you have to do is ask the closest junky you see.
Old friend years ago had a method of asking people where to get needles in an attempt to strike up conversation about scoring. Worked far better than just coming off and asking.

when ever ive gone to buy insulin needles before i always went into this huge speal about how im refilling the ink in my printer. i have had someone say that you should be using larger gauge syringes but i just say this is the way i was told to do it.
ive never had a problem purchasing them this way.
however ive been horribly unsuccessful in finding myself some dope =(

Well the funny thing is, is I look like a COP! Tall, white, short haircut well groomed of course; polite.
When I Would go into the Pharmacy I would look around like if I could find the needles on the shelves. Then someone would ask me if I needed help and that is when I asked if they had them.
I would just say my dad who's VA shipment hadn't got there yet and he asked me to pick him up some.

lol i have like 2000 used needles just laying in a container from being diabetic. your supposed to turn them in for recycling yearly but i save them in case i want to use them for an art project or something.
i've never had an issue buying syringes though, even at places i don't have a prescription. i would check online, or find a friend whos diabetic?

Funny the other day I was at the chemist and there was boxes of these on the 2nd shelf from the bottom. Nice safe place for them.

Seems like the Britains are more concerned with harm reduction.

I agree with you OP, it's retarded and completely detrimental to harm reduction for pharmacies to not sell the damn things. People are going to shoot anyways, most of the time, it makes more sense to allow them to have sterile rigs they can use once instead of reusing or worse, sharing.
As was said previously, you can get em online 100/$10.

Your right! I said chemist, I should probably watch my words. It's just you get used to the wrong term because here in Australia (NOT Britain) most pharmacies are called chemists IE chemist warehouse, Australia's online Pharmacy or chemist direct, soul Pattinson chemist very wrong terms indeed. And I was amazed seeing this, australia doesn't like anything that you can have fun with they even want to ban native plants that contain DMT this is most Acacias and put them in the same boat as cannabis http://www.gardenfreedom.com/
DMT isn't a drug that is even widely used here, it's just bullshit.
I think that it is wrong not allowing hypodermic needles to be sold freely, openly and cheaply what kind of a message are they trying to put across, oh yeah thats right the government says If you take drugs you will get AIDS and we will make sure of it.

I hate needles they freak me out. They are like little aids spears. I suggest never picking them up its not just urself u are killing with those needles its everyone around u who touches them too

Your a dick, aids spears, really? Killing everyone around you? obviously your the government or just misinformed! Hospitals are full of needles and you don't go to the hospital and come out with AIDS. If you are a drug user that administers themselves you are no different to a diabetic you both use needles the problem, is safe access. If you could pick up a box of these no questions 100 for $15 with a sharps container. There is no need to share and as for the junkies that don't have that extra $15 they should be able to go to a clinic and get free needles and they should also be able to shoot up there this lowers the risk and since they are monitored so they are safe and they won't be so off their face that they leave their needle in the sand pit next to the swings, it can be picked up and disposed of correctly. Most were good people but ran into trouble they are not out to hurt you just out to get high. BUT this also means they may try and rob you "what choice do they have" don't get me wrong some people are just scum. If a sharps bin is there most will use it.
I don't like needles either but this is the best high with the least waste, I've read that we could reduce the number of sharps users just by lowering the price of drugs. LEGALIZE it doesn't hurt people it saves them
