Okay, it took a little while, but we've finished the transfer to a better file server. Image uploads and attachments are now enabled again. I tested it pretty thoroughly, but if you notice any problems, please let me know. Also, to compensate for the time when uploads were unavailable, I extended all supporter accounts by one week. Thanks again everyone for your patience during the move. We shouldn't have to worry about file hosting again for a long time.

Thankfully I didn't post that.
By the way, when I reach my total upload limit, and I become a supporter to get unlimited space, do I lose that privelege when the subscription is up? Or does it add an extra amount of bandwidth, which stays until used up, even after subscription is up?

You lose it. Also when a supporter account expires and the picture bandwidth returns to normal, in order to add new pics., old ones will have to be deleted. Trusted Cultivators and probably Trusted Identifiers alike have unlimited picture uploading capacity in the same way a supporter account does.

Talk to Apple, they're the ones who don't support upload controls in Mobile Safari. A brief search says there's some browser called iCab mobile which might work, but I have no way of testing it.

Awesome! Glad they are back so soon. I was afraid it would a long time until I could upload.

Hmmm, like I said, it's tough because I don't have an iOS device so I can't really do any sort of testing or debugging. If you want, try uploading an image at http://www.shroomery.org/forums/upload.ios.php, I have some logging in place so if it's something simple I can fix it. Don't get your hopes up though, I have a feeling it's not simple.
Really though this is Apple's problem (and by extension, the problem of their customers). The file input type has been around since 1995 when it was defined in RFC 1867. There's no reason it shouldn't be supported.

Yah I didn't expect it to work, it just had some extra debug logging to maybe help me figure out what the problem is. Although unfortunately it doesn't look like the log is very informative. Sorry man I think the best course of action may just be to bug Apple to add upload support. Or, if you jailbreak your iPad I think Safari Upload Enabler will add this functionality.

Exactly. You can buy a supporter account and give the subscription to whoever you want. It's not uncommon (hell I have gave two members year subscriptions recently) and should be taken as a compliment. I would be completely blown away if someone offered me a supporter account, and you should feel honored, not skeptical.
