Eighth Grader Sells Marijuana Brownies at School

An eighth grader at a Queens intermediate school was suspended after selling brownies laced with marijuana at his Bellerose school.
The student was selling the brownies out her book bag for $3 each. Another student reported her to school officials on Monday.
20 students purchased the brownies from the girl at Intermediate School 208. Its estimated that she made $250 from the brownies.
“They slipped my son a mickey,” said one mother to the Daily News. “How come nobody noticed these kids were high?”
Her son allegedly didn’t know the brownies were laced and panicked when he started to feel the effects.
“This was a troubling incident, and as soon as the school learned about it they reported it to us and reached out to the parents of the student involved,” said Margie Feinberg, spokeswoman for the Department of Education.
School officials plan on bringing a counselor to speak to the children about substance abuse.

Yeah, probably just ate too much, got paranoid and freaked out. As much as I disapprove of 8th grade kids (13 years old?) consuming cannabis, sucks about the fuckin' rat.

I was definitely not some innocent little angel at 13. although i didn't smoke weed until i was around 14-15, i new exactly what weed was and that i'd love to try it. These kids knew what was up.

When I was an 8th grader people used to come in high often. I usually waited til after school because I would get wayyyy too high to be in school back then. I remember a few times kids got caught by being dumb and coming in in a group late or just reeking of weed so blatantly, but probably more times than not people got away with it. I remember even before that in 7th grade people would be high during school. I took some DXM during study period in 7th grade once, that was pretty fucked. I remember being in a class later unable to copy notes off the board because my notebook was swirling etc. and I was just too fucked up. One of my other friends who also took it was SO fucked up, I literally could not believe he didn't get us caught. It must have been because we were so young no one would suspect us. It seems pretty crazy looking back on that because me and many of my classmates were getting pretty fucked up during school and getting away with it. Honestly people got caught the most for smoking cigarettes, because the smell would give them away.
