 Need advice.

this summer more than likely in the month of june i will be taking a trip to find some active mushrooms. i live in nevada so it is really unlikely that i will find any here, so i am going to go to california, washington, and oregon. if you know of any spots that might be really good in particular along the boarder(i am driving up the coast line). Also is there any particular mushrooms i should looks for in that time period. that would be quite helpful. thanks if you have an input.

cyanescens don't grow in June. If you are going to waist the gas coming to the coast you should do so in the fall otherwise you will be wasting your time. If you come in June the most abundant active mushroom is panaeolus cinctulus which also grows in Nevada so there will be no need to drive all of that way.

Yeah, Ive found toonss of Pan. cincts. in the Reno area through june and july in cow fields... no need to leave home. especially during those months.

If you're going to the places you mentioned specifically to find psychoactive mushrooms, then you'd better go in October or November.

well in what could i possibly look for when i move up to montana. im going to butte are their any psychedelic mushrooms that i could possibly find up there????

You have a fair chance of finding active gymnopilus species. You could also look for pan. cinctulus.

they are the same species that are in nevada... and i cant find pan cinctulus other than in my yard. no luck with gyms do you think i could find them now???? it has been about 50 degrees and we have gotten a lot of rain

PNW season is mostly sept-nov... Depending on the weather
If the weather is right.. Can find some mushrooms in August, but have to know where to look
June in PNW your looking at pan cinct as a weak mushroom in new lawns and horse poo, sort of at the tail end of the spring season... Which is not as good as fall season
On the good side, some nice eatable mushrooms are around!
