it doesn't matter what your expectations are when you first walk through the door. after a few years your gonna think you can fight even if that's not the case. that's why traditional martial arts are largely a scam.

I know a few people who have been involved in traditional martial arts for many years and they have no delusions about being a bad ass fighter because of it.
