Intuition has more letters.

“What is the ideal for mental health, then? A lived, compelling illusion that does not lie about life, death, and reality; one honest enough to follow its own commandments: I mean, not to kill, not to take the lives of others to justify itself.”

I can entertain the idea that intuition and instinct are separate aspects of our nature. I can understand instinct being developed through evolution and intuition as a conscious response to sub-conscious stimulus. This could be something like a slight drop in temperature or air pressure(maybe), even bearly audible sounds being registered at a subliminal level or close to it. I can't see how we would develope our intuition, or discern the inner voice of millions of years experience in survival, from the faint sound of my neighbour in the appartment taking a piss, while I'm watching Family Guy.

PowerPlants said: Intuition is bringing the unconscious mind(which is collective) into the conscious mind. This takes a fair amount of energy, which is usually spent in ejaculation. More energy = More intuition. Less energy = less intuition. Retaining the semen and directing the energy through the heart center, the world is at your fingertips.
I think this is not true at all. The ejaculation part. I agree with the subconcious.
I have no scientific data or a good argument, but my personal opinion is that a healthy sex life is not detrimental for anyone's mind, and actually may help clear the mind.
Everyone is different and some people need more sex just like they need more food, and while you may not need to get off as much as other people to have a more productive mind other peoples bodies are different.
I am not really meaning need as in you will die, but more in a want.
I know your reply will be shrouded in Buddhist scripture about how wanting is the cause of suffering and eliminating it will eliminate your need to ejaculate, but I think it is pretty much proven ejaculating on a regular basis is healthy for the prostate, so I guess I lied when I said no data would be present.
I am not picking on Buddhism, because I live my life as close as I can to his teachings, and Buddhism changed my way of thinking and has made me a much happier person.

-------------------- See my shadow changing,
Stretching up and over me.
Soften this old armor.
Hoping I can clear the way
By stepping through my shadow,
Coming out the other side.
Step into the shadow.
Forty six and two are just ahead of me.

Is intuition then more like an emergent property of our instinct ?

---I think this is not true at all. The ejaculation part. I agree with the subconcious.
Is coo, if everyone refrained there would be no more humans.
Here is an illustration of intuition. All waves are connected at the root to the Ocean, they look separate on the surface but are the same underneath. If the waves are like humans and look outwardly, they will perceive only the surface of separate waves. If they turned attention towards the feeling within, they would sense the unconscious connection that their little wave bodies could not perceive. If they have enough energy, they could draw knowledge from the connected "database" underneath them which includes all of everyones subconscious memories, and they could bring it up into their minds and depending on the amount of energy they have, they would get certain feelings about things, and know certain things depending on the circumference covered based on their personal store of energy. So intuition is not instinct nor observation, it is drawing from the connected "database" of others subconscious and feelings spontaneously turning into thoughts with knowledge not gained by sense observation.
