Possible Lactuca?

Just some misc plants that have grown up here after the rain. I've no previous experience with these plants, so I come to ya'll a total noob.
I think this:

May be a psychoactive variety, based on the pictures that I've seen around the web....
This it how it responds to being cut:

I collected a few samples of the milky liquid, and it dried to look like this:

It has quite a pleasant aroma, yet before I start sampling I thought it'd be a good idea to positively ID the plant
Lastly, found this growing and, whilest I don't believe it to be psychoactive, I felt that it was worthy of inclusion

Any feedback is appreciated... With my forced / prolonged break from cultivating fungus, I thought I might try my hand with some plants. First post in this forum, if I'm breaking some obscure rule, I apologize in advance

The last is Milk Thistle and its seeds are very helpful to liver support.

Interesting, will read up on milk thistle. And okay, may bioassay the resin-ish stuff tonight, I'm kind of doubtful it'll be active w/o an extraction...

do you really think it's a good idea to bioassay the sap of a plant you don't know !! even if it seems to be same family as milk thistle, I would wait for a positive id before anything !

Lactuca seriolla is really common and easy to find. It is most easily found nearing fall when you can see it being tall with tiny little dandelion like seed puffs on it.
The seeds are a serious pain to collect, however.
Luckily this is also the time of year the plant has the most lactucopicrin and lactucin in it, I believe? I might be wrong about that however.

Thanks man... That stuff is everywhere.
Think I've found some variety of lactuca in that area, though tis wayyy less abundant. Will post pics soon.
I may try actually planting it, if the latex from a positively id'd plant has any effect.
Since sow thistle is reportedly edible, and the latex from it tastes nice / has a decent calming effect (probably just smoke inhalation) I consider the gram of latex collected from it to still be worth the time...

Also yes I think that looks like Lactuca sp. but I am unsure.. my guess would be yes but it is always a bit harder to tell when it is growing like that as opposed to a taller upright plant with flowers, seeds, and other physiological changes that happen the second year around or near fall time.

Thanks Burbles, but I think I'll just keep looking for it, rather than making a concerted effort at growing it.
And thanks for the id Locky, will try extracting some resin without totally maiming it... It's actually the only one I've been able to find in a field of that sow thistle stuff, but I've more area to search yet.
Will report back if it's active, may try an extraction of it as well.
Thanks to all of you plant people

Aight, so finally demolished / milked the plant in the most recent picture...
The obtained brown resinous stuff is *extremely* bitter.
Will try weighing some out & dosing it sublingually this weekend, if there's a chance that this will work. Barring that, will also try smoking a bit.
Thanks for the help
