hi all , i grafted a m.leuthyi to a cuzcoensis around 3 months ago. i probably put it out in the sun a bit early but it seems healthy , it produced a single flower 6 to 8 weeks ago. if it was a failed graft it should have dried up and croaked already from the hot weather? im just a little concerned that it hasnt shown noticeable growth yet. also i grafted a ruby ball to a cereus and it is slowly losing colour so ive put in in shade so it can rest/adjust . on a seperate topic , i attempted to pollinate a m.ziellamanniana with t.pachanoi pollen. thoughts and speculation are welcome.

Usually after a few weeks you'd expect to see some growth.
But in saying that I have a large loph on a pedro and it hasn't budged in over a year. The majority this doesn't happen to.
All I can say is if it's attached and seems to stay turgid then just be patient and hopefully it does something in the near future.

I haven't done many grafts with trichocereus stock but those look like happy plants to me, nice work.

I personally have grafted a tiny loph onto a pedro stock and it blew up real fast the first couple weeks, but has stalled since then. I'm hoping it picks up growth during the spring though. Just be patient if the graft looks to be sturdy and well attached to the stock. I made the mistake of degrafting my first loph because I was seeing no growth after a long while and it ended up dying. Patience is the key, even with grafted cacti sometimes.
