New Research: Fluoride Linked to #1 Cause of Death
Anthony Gucciardi
Groundbreaking new research has linked sodium fluoride to cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death worldwide.
Researchers found that fluoride consumption directly stimulates the hardening of your arteries, a condition known as atherosclerosis that is highly correlated with the #1 killer.
Sodium fluoride is currently added to the water supply of many cities worldwide, despite extreme opposition from health professionals and previous studies linking it to decreased IQ and infertility.
In their research, scientists examined the relationship between fluoride intake and the hardening (calcification) of the arteries. Studying more than 60 patients, the researchers found a significant correlation between fluoride consumption and the calcification of your arteries. Published in the January edition of the journal Nuclear Medicine Communications, the research highlights the fact that mass fluoride exposure may be to blame for the cardiovascular disease epidemic that takes more lives each year than cancer. In 2008, cardiovascular killed 17 million people.
According to the authors of the study:
The coronary fluoride uptake value in patients with cardiovascular events was significantly higher than in patients without cardiovascular events.
Amazingly, this is not the first report to come out on the dangers of water fluoridation; however, the United States government (along with other nations) has allowed for the continued fluoridation of the public water supply despite these key findings. In fact, the U.S. government has even gone on record stating that a reduction in water fluoridation needs to occur following the results of a massive study that found water fluoridation affected cognitive function to the point of lowering the IQ of children. It turns out that the announcement was little more than a public relations stunt to curtail the massive wave of activism that followed the findings.

You're really jumping to conclusions with the whole 'rumor' thing. For all you know, the parents where simply reading the warning on the tube of toothpaste. Unless, of course, you can provide a source that specifically states 378 people where hospitalized due to rumors about fluoride poisoning. Speaking of that warning, why is it even on the bottle then? You said it's for liability reasons I believe. Why would they cover their asses if the fluoride levels in toothpaste are perfectly safe? It doesn't make one bit of sense.
As far as sodium fluoride levels being the same in city was as well water, you are totally wrong on that one. First of all, I lived on well water most of my life and had it tested for its fluoride content. The well water had less than 1/100 the amount of fluoride found in the nearest city water. If you don't believe that municipal water has fluoride added to it, here's some proof for you:

True some municipalities do not fluoridate their water, but some do. If you want to know why it's such a big deal to me and a lot of other people, here's one reason:

Let's say you boil the water down in a reduction for a recipe. The fluoride is only going to get more and more concentrated, while the water gets evaporated. The point I'm trying to make is that everyone's fluoride exposure is going to vary, so how is water fluoridation an acceptable form of dosing the public with medication. Why not have fluoride prescribed by a dentist, so we all know how much we are being exposed to?

They put warnings on safe stuff all the time.
For example, try reading the label on a recently purchased bottle of lab grade Sodium Chloride. If you didn't know it was table salt, it would convince you that the stuff is pretty dangerous.
Are there any studies that compare IQ or health statistics in communities with flouride in the water and ones that don't use it? Seems like that would be easy to do.

Thanks. I read three of the papers and I do find the evidence compelling. The IQ drop is significant. But it is also hard or impossible to control for external factors when comparing the IQ's of two cities.
They have different schools, perhaps different cultures, different food supplies, different pollution levels, etc. The researchers made efforts to control for these factors, but you can't control for everything.
All of those studies were posted on an anti-flouride site. I wonder how many studies there are which did not show any health effects. If there were some, they definitely wouldn't have been posted on that page.
Given the cost of bottled water and water filters, and the possibility that flouride is in bottled water, I think I am going to keep drinking out of the tap.
If this issue makes it to the ballot, I would vote for no flouride after reading those studies. Before reading them, I would have voted yes.

Thanks. I read three of the papers and I do find the evidence compelling. The IQ drop is significant. But it is also hard or impossible to control for external factors when comparing the IQ's of two cities.
They have different schools, perhaps different cultures, different food supplies, different pollution levels, etc. The researchers made efforts to control for these factors, but you can't control for everything.
All of those studies were posted on an anti-fluoride site. I wonder how many studies there are which did not show any health effects. If there were some, they definitely wouldn't have been posted on that page.
Given the cost of bottled water and water filters, and the possibility that fluoride is in bottled water, I think I am going to keep drinking out of the tap.
If this issue makes it to the ballot, I would vote for no fluoride after reading those studies. Before reading them, I would have voted yes.
You're right, there are a lot of other variables, but I got what you asked for. Good luck finding similar studies with different results. I have tried an failed.
Non-fluoridated water can be cheap if you know where to look. I buy gallons of distilled water for 69 cents each. Definitely within my budget. The only downside to distilled water is its lack of minerals. I overcome this with an organic diet, as organic fertilizers have a much larger variety of minerals than your standard synthetic fertilizers (only nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium).

Many grocery stores have a glacier water machine out front, 35 cents a gallon for a 5 step filtering process that includes reverse osmosis.
I think I'll start to use those things more often.

I never posted anything to contradict the definition of 'hospitalized'. I don't see any relevance to the discussion either. I was merely reinforcing the link between the hospitalizations and the warning label. Just trying to make it clear since you were implying that hundred of parents brought their children to the hospital because of a rumor.

I have a charcoal filter to. It does taste better for a brew but mainly, I do it because I get fed up boiling vinegar and scrubbing the limescale off of our kettle.

I don't know about where you live but anywhere I've ever been they don't add hot dogs to the municipal water supply. They also don't come around to classrooms and have a more or less compulsory hot dog eating day.

My theory is that it's a waste disposal campaign leftover from the nuclear era, but if it really is such a great public service and municipalities go out of their way to look out for us by dumping the stuff in the water, why not mail people fluoride drops to put in their own water instead if they so choose? Of course that would be just as silly as putting it in the water supply since your teeth are not in your digestive tract.
At this point, it's a gross misapplication of medicine at the very least if not outright forced medication with the potential for harm. It is unethical.

In addition, when studying the effects of sodium fluoride (as mentioned in the OP; I haven't checked the actual studies though), I wouldn't be surprised if an effect was found...sodium is known to influence heart functioning, in particular the electrical functioning of the hear muscles.

so you're saying that buying hotdogs is completely voluntary and if
parents dont want their children choking on hotdogs they simply shouldnt
buy them? well drinking the city water is also voluntary, people have the
option of and frequently exercise the option of buying bottled water for

your teeth are the first portion of the digestive tract, they initially
break the food down and crush up the muscle and plant fibers so that the
rest of the digestive system can do it's job of extracting nutrients, you know, nutrients like vitamins and minerals that are extracted from the foods and carried via the bloodstream through the body to nourish cells.

I'm not surprised there's a link found, ie; "all people that have had died of
the 'catch all' of heart disease have ingested fluoride". I bet we can find
the same link with air. everyone that has ever died as at some time or
another had contact with air and probably even breathed it in, thus we can
conclude, 'air can kill you, breathing air can kill you even deader'
