first picture is insane. i never seen so much metabolite coming from mycelium before. im not surprised since its growing so fast.

It's quite the amazing sight. A few days from now will be much more exhilarating.

Awesome! I hope your temps hold for ya.

Wow.  Desperately need sleep but cant wait to wake up and read this.  I love reading threads like these.

Will try to upload some pictures sometime tomorrow. The temps outside are kinda cooperating, but it's proving to be difficult. Might set up the FC again and fruit like the last time before my power went out, minus the lid.

Wanted to update sooner, but just never got around to it. Things are going good, but pretty slow based on the temps. But I would rather wait than fruit it indoors where spore can get into the home. Most of them are growing at the same rate, so hopefully this flush will all mature at one time.

A few ones poking out the side by the handles are getting bigger, so might get a few more prints in a few days. Enjoy the pictures everyone. more will be added as time goes on.

There was so much metabolite building up that some of the pin clusters were actually getting submerged. Not wanting to lose them, I sucked some up with my dropper. The result was a nice vial of metabolites:

And another short video:

Whats the point of saving the metabolites?

I didn't save the metabolites, but rather wanted to save the pin clusters getting totally submerged in them. If I had a way to get the metabolites analyzed and see what they are made of, then I might have saved them. But I sadly don't have the ability to conduct chemical analysis anymore

Some pictures from today. They are starting to move along a bit faster now. We will see what happens. There seems to be some clusters that have a light tan color, and some that have a very deep blue  :bliss:

This little cluster kept getting smashed by one of the handles. They were still pretty small, but decided to cut them off so the don't get destroyed. I might get a few prints from them:shrug:

More pics. They are taking their time, and look a bit stunted from the temps. Still got some nice clusters coming along. Got 5 decent little prints from the little cluster I picked the other day, so I'll probably be throwing some onto agar and starting over again. Always nice to experiment with new genetics.

Night pictures:bliss:  Still growing, despite temps pushing 35°F at night and barely over 50°F in the day. Weather looks like it's gonna shift in the next 5 days, so we will see how things turn out.

Built them a mini green house type thing. It's kinda like a monotub, or something. Anyway, they are growing much better now. I am going out of town for the next few days, so hopefully they are ok when I get back.

All the videos should be hi-def too.

:awedance: Working pretty good so far. Cant wait till the temps rise and I can just put it on my deck. Oyster stuffed manicotti for dinner tonight:drooling: It's hard to tell how many are actually growing since they get covered up by the ones above them. Harvested the larger caps and amounted to just over 2 lbs fresh.

Looking good!  I love the dark caps that the cold weather causes.

I need a good Hot Weather Oyster culture!!

Well things don't always look as they are and things can be misread and mistaken for what they realy are so don't read too much into what I say since I might be mistaken myself. And remember I rarely ever give a definate answer.
